No, they would be even more annoying. A lot of guys already act like babies when they are sick.

They tend to not mind doing stupid stuff for attention.
My two youngest cats are males and they are the "troublemakers". The other day the cat mat(which had food and water on it) was flipped over and I knew it was one of them two since i've seen them mess with it before.
