Paint, dye - all those kinds of things xD
And yeah, arsenic :\
I randomly learned that on Youtube.
I can't remember the channel but I LOVE dark history.
It was like "Why did Victorians die from the color green!?" or something like that.
Was very interesting albeit sad...
They also talked about...baby bottles and how a lot of Victorian children died because bacteria would build up in the bottles because they couldn't be thoroughly cleaned.
I'll have to find the channel again xD
You guys ever heard of The Radium Girls?
I learned about them recently too.
Really sad.

I have heard of them. The local high school did a play about them last school year. Their story is really sad.

It was sad...And what's worse is when they complained - they were basically...what's the term...Told they were just exaggerating :\

Tam I am wrote:"Female hysteria."
which typically covered a wide range of reasons for why women were ill, either physically or mentally, or even both.

Yeah, that's the term xD
I've seen female hysteria come up a lot in history.
I love history, mostly dark history, but also medical history.
I like learning about mental illness and how people were treated in the past.
It's all ridiculous :\
It happens today sometimes too.
Like when someone makes me angry, they say "Are you on your period!?" >>
And it's women who also say that to me >Bu
I should be allowed to legally punch them Bu

ngl, I'd be sorely tempted, in that situation, to respond with "Well, I have an IUD, so no, you're just a bitch".
But honestly? asking someone who gets periods "Are you on your period?" is a symptom of toxic patriarchy, toxic masculinity, and people being conditioned to think of women as passive, "nice", things...

I typically just lash out at them even angrier xD
Yeah, it irks me. I can't stand someone being an asshole, pissing me off, then acting like I'm angry for no reason.
>>
Something else my family used to do was make me angry then ask me "Did you take your pills today!?"
My antidepressants. Did I take them? Because I'm angry at you and antidepressants totally remove anger completely.

I've had a couple guys, when I explain that I'm not feeling good because of PMS, go, "You know, I think I get that too. It happens too regularly to not be a hormone swing."
