Well I certainly have enough Knuffels to make a couple that go up to a 100 just for an experiment.

Though I probably wouldn't be able to keep up with the experiment at all. lol.

I have a knuffel with 98 and she still occasionally doesn't find anything
So from what I can tell, it's a percentage chance. So a dig level of 98 is 98% chance of finding stuff

That makes sense.
I'm bad at math though. lol.
