Ah, I see... I don't really know about proper traditional tools and mediums, so I can't say much there... I draw with whatever's at hand (pens, pencils, sharpies) and on whatever's nearby (lined paper, printer paper, scratch paper). XD;

@Hart,

I'm drawing an OC, but he's not coming out how I want him to... I had kind of a different image in mind, but I can't think of like what hairstyle and such.

This is my first rough of him. I know it doesn't look good, he's in my quick bleh style. I didn't know what kind of clothes to put him in or anything. *throws-out*

For some reason I do my more meticulous structure-fleshed out drawings on lined paper. I think it's because I use the lines as a grid...Lately I've been addicted to Paint Tool Sai and my best stuff has been coming out of that, but I only have the trial version... the license is a little expensive for me at the moment, but it's a wonderful paint program...

I keep trying to tell myself to go relaxed with my drawing, but it's hard to do that ne?

+ I think I actually managed to find an anime that's so bizarre I can't understand it... entirely...

Also, why don't you surf around the net for outfit ideas? That's what I generally do... kinda go shopping for them, but free! XD

I draw pretty well traditionally --or at least I feel like I do well-- but the lines of my oekakis are cleaner. Even though I have Photoshop, I still prefer to draw on oekakis. They're free! :D

Nan da yo? I didn't say my "art" was bad, it's just this pic didn't turn out how I wanted. I keep wanting to use boat-neck or sleeveless tops, but I always do so often. *sigh*

It bugs me when the visual image of a character I have vaguely in my mind doesn't seem to come out in my drawings. This is actually probably the second picture/trial appearance for him. I don't know why I'm bothering with him, since he's a written character and not an RP OC type. I just felt like trying and it didn't work.

*going to sit here and sizzle with jealous for those people who have anatomy down so well, draw everyday and spend 20 some hours per beautiful art piece*

@Aerimyth- Yeah, I have drawing pencils somewhere, I'm just lazy to use them. I have a bad habbit-love for ink and mechanical pencils. I get frustrated trying to figure out what type of pencil I should use and I pretty much have to ink over F, because it's so light.

I often end up using a 5.0 mech and printer paper. That ends up being my preferred most of the time. Printer paper's a little hardier and I'm too stubborn and spazzy to draw properly...

@Nuke: You said it didn't look good. .-.


@Aeri: What do you use for color? If it's marker, then color first would be better, right? Kinda makes it hard to see the lines, though. XD;

@Hart- It doesn't look good, because it doesn't look like what I was thinking. But also, doesn't my anatomy look funky? My loose style leans towards elongating, but I'm all in jealousy for those people who do really realistic beautiful bodies. *grr* (also he's clearly missing his arms and such.) T_T

@Aeri-I suck at inking. I end up using a dark sketch then painting it in PSP by masking it and such. If I was doing watercolors (I want to get good at someday), I would do inking last.

I think if I could get Sai I'd ink with that. Can't mess up as badly.
