Today's number was 1. I don't think anyone picked one. I don't think the RNG likes you guys lol
@Mika You should definitely put your foot down. I'm sure there are plenty of unemployed people out there looking for a job. I doubt your manager is short on applications. Is there someone you know that you can drag into this? You shouldn't be doing 2 people's worth of work for 1 person's salary the damn cheap asses =_=; That's not how you keep an employee. I wonder what happens if you quit and how fucked they would be. Maybe they'd actually treat you right.
@Chrizine New money is always funny. They feel a little gross. Man they really decked out the new notes with more shiny security tags. Let me find the ad.

@River I didn't know that. The pokies have to be updated. I wonder if they're okay for vending machines, not like we have many vending machines.

That RNG just likes to spite me.
She wants someone who's experienced and long-term, but you kinda get what you pay for.
What's even worse is that she's trying to teach me to do manager level stuff. It's ridiculous; having to come early to work on a flippant notice (last Saturday she asked me to come in early today, then today she asks me to come in early for Thursday --just put it in the schedule!!!), or dealing with people she'd have to deal with AND having to babysit my coworker every time he sells; sometimes it feels like a waste of my time and talent.
I've had moments when I've enjoyed the job, and this place is better than others, and even though she is demeaning, my manager isn't horrible, but it is still pretty frustrating to work here sometimes.
Lol, they'd be so fucked if I quit, I'm not lying. They'd be feeling the strain right up to my boss who owns the place.
My manager and boss asked me to come in on Friday today and I told them no. I just don't want to deal with sitting in a booth and making maybe two or three sales in four hours total; not when I have other things to do.

I don't know if they're going to fix the pokies. I think vending machines also don't like the new notes either. I think some ticket machines for like trains, don't like them either.
I wonder if it's the brail

Whenever I see the word spite, my head replaces it with smite. THE RNG SHALL SMITE YOU. Doesn't that sound more appealing?
Experienced in sales and theatre? Sales would be easy but not so sure about theatre. If she wants someone good then she'll actually have to put in the resources to train them and treat her employees properly. If I were you I would play passive aggressive and start dropping hints that I will leave their ass if they don't treat me better. I guess work is work and money is money ;-; ;-; I will cry for you Mika.
Good, let them know D:<!
Perhaps it's the brail, but if the vending machines are updated in terms of their tech and detection then they won't realise that it's actual Australian money lol So it probably thinks, "someone is feeding me foreign cash. NO!"

Aha, my manager wants someone who is quick to learn the ticketing system, so one who's good with sales and tech stuff, I guess. They need to have accurate typing though, because inputting the wrong data can really mess with it.
She's "too busy" to train employees. Tbh, she's kinda immature. Every week she complains about having to go to mandatory mangers meetings upstairs. She's been reprimanded by the boss about ditching (she makes excuses about dealing with clients or working with something on the system --things she could've worked around into other time slots in her schedule), and when she goes, she texts us during the meeting or tries to get out early. I understand wanting to goof off, but you've gotta put your work first.
She also complains to everyone about the same old things, and since I'm in the office, I can hear her griping to all the other staff members who come by. And she wonders why people tend to avoid the box office. XD;
My brother says I shouldn't put my all into my work, but Idk. I was brought up to do my best and have integrity. Maybe part of it is my pride, and part of it is being a pushover, but I want to do what I can wherever I'm at. It just makes me bitter sometimes when my best isn't enough, or when it's brushed off and people don't appreciate it.

Well if she says paid you more and promoted you to train the newcomers then that'll be okay right? :D I wonder how she has maintained her job. I'm happy I've never had to work with someone like that.
I understand that feeling but sometimes enough is enough. There's only so much an individual can take. I hope things work out 'orz I hate it when my best isn't enough but I try to stop caring about what people think of me. I do feel bad when I disappoint but I understand that everyone has different standards and expectations.

Yeah, I'd be cool with that. That would be fair for those tasks. She's only the manager, though; she can't give me a raise even if she wants to.
True. I need to just move on.
