I first saw anime...some time before my teens. I remember the 90s Sailor Moon airing on the USA channel.
I'd watch it every morning while eating cereal and getting ready for school.
They took it off the channel and it later appeared on Cartoon Network 8u
Once Toonami happened, I was able to watch anime and draw it and stuff.
I got my first PC when I was maybe...15? Didn't watch anime on the PC, though.
Not for a good while u8
I also started buying manga and anime on VHS because of this store at the mall.
Then the store closed so I freaked out.
Found another store and bought all my anime and most of my manga from there.
It went out of business a few years ago and it broke my heart xD

I only had a few 8u
Ahhh, VHS tapes...I don't miss you all that much 8u;
I don't remember what the first episode was of Sailor Moon that I saw...
I got my mom to watch Toonami with me a lot u8
I remember this anime store opening at the mall - they had VHS tapes, banners, posters, cards, stickers, etc. I loved it there. I had a couple banners,, VHS tapes, stickers and cards (I still have one or two of the cards).
It went out of business pretty quickly =_=
I don't even remember the name of the store.
I remember what all I got there too 8u
My parents surprised me with a Gundam Wing banner, I bought Sailor Moon stickers and cards, and I got the Adolescence of Utena VHS 8u
After that store closed, one called Sam Goody opened and they had a whole wall of anime VHS tapes and manga and even anime CDs.
I LOVED it there. Then it went out of business Bu

There was never a SunCoast here, but there was one in either Temple or Houston. I remember visiting someone and we went to a mall and there was a SunCoast 8u
Apparently SunCoast still exists, but there's only a handful left.
A few being in Texas, but not in the town I live in u8
Never heard of FYE until now xD

FYE. For Your Entertainment
It's mainly a music store with a small selection of movies. 15 years ago, because of the shut down of SunCoast, people went to FYE and asked for their anime section. They didn't have one. Eventually they created one because the demand got to them. Their Anime section is bigger than their movie selection. >-> They even started selling Asian snacks and anime merch.
I had my heart set on SunCoast being my first Job ever... QnQ I had an in with one of the store managers.. I'd talk to him allll the time about anime. I HAD A CONNECTION DAMN IT!!!

Ahhh, that makes sense xD
That sounds like my store that closed down. They started having anime figurines and Japanese snacks. Then they shut down. Now I can't find anything like they had. Some stores have ramune and Pocky but it's only like two flavors xD
Again, like me and my store. I wanted to work there so bad.

It's hard to get a job here with out an IN... a connection... and now that I'm 31, it'll be harder yet because they want young people to give work exp to and expect people my age to already have work exp.
