I meant the out-of-country kind of holiday while people you know have to go to work or school ^_^;;

Yeah, holiday is British word for vacation ^^'
I like comparing words from British and American English.
Schools outside of USA usually teach British English, it's funny to get confused about words when talking to people from America.
