Even if that word wasn't caps it would have sounded pretty confrontational. Which would be understandable if people were being hateful towards you, but there wasn't anyone doing that here.

One of the downsides of it being typed rather than spoken is that the tone isn't there so people assume you've bust in all aggro when, well, you're not

One of the parts of being an adult is learning to communicate better. So if someone is telling you that you're coming off as insensitive you should take it to heart and try to rephrase what you're saying so you don't upset people as much.

So I am required to put on a mask and act fake so someone doesn't get offended? No wonder why people want "safe places" for them to not be offended in ._.
We've gone from "suck it up, buttercup, life sucks" to "don't hurt my fee-fees" and it's really sad
