Yeah I can understand that. Pets are really expensive! Plus dogs are even more maintenance than cats.

Yeah on top of whatever health complications, just feeding and taking them out on walks and the like….it would be a lot of work.

That's funny bc that's why I tell people I didn't want kids bc they are a lot of work and a big commitment. xD But... for pets I'm okay with it.

the only pets I want when I have my own place again someday are plants, and specifically air plants, because I can't always guarantee that I'll be in a condition to keep up with consistent care, and air plants are not only very forgiving, they're fun to look at.

tbh, i can probably see myself raising some low maintenance plants over raising pets. xD altho i do want a rabbit. but......xD yeah i dunno lol.

I want to try growing herbs again. Gardening sounds really fun to me I just know I have a bad habit of starting something then forgetting about it.

My mom likes to plant Chinese melons and tomatoes. We’ve done it for years so we get something to eat lol.

My mom liked to grow tomatoes too! And peppers. I can't remember but I think they may have tried watermelons before...

I wouldn't mind growing some veggies either if I had a yard.

Tomatoes are the easiest. We have some annual flowers that pop up every year, like the peonies and lavender and lilies and roses. Although, our roses are weird in my opinion, it’s not a bush or anything, it’s literally like…a single plant? And we get at most 2-3 roses from it. It’s so weird. Just a random rose sticking out randomly amidst everything else lol.

We’ve tried growing peppers but apart from the hardy chili peppers, any other peppers have kinda failed. We’ve planted lotsa melons tho like bitter melon, eggplant, winter melon and this other Chinese melon.

I wish I had a balcony for plants.. Sebas recently killed off my last Aloe Vera =3=
