Ahhh I see I see. :mcheh:

I mean, I can see how not explaining/communicating isn't good. But on the flip side, it's nice that he only leaves instead of lashing out at others?

Maybe?
He does lash out sometimes, I mean, he's seven...

But on a general rule what worries me more is that he's very introverted, and his typical behaviour looks like "running away" so it's not unusual for people to go after him and try to "fix" the situation.
But he just needs some alone time.

That's understandable, I'm the same. When I'm upset I just want to be alone until I've sorted my own thoughts out. Though the struggle I had was figuring out what to do after I'm done being alone. It's kinda hard to step out after you closed yourself off and communicate again with others.

I still have trouble with that, it's gonna be a lot harder for a seven year old :mcheh:

Yes, I'm like that too. And I've gotten in trouble because of that over the years.
So I guess I kinda understand him, which is probably the reason why he takes it better when I approach him.
I usually just stay near him, maybe cuddle him after a while, and talk about it - not about the original issue, but how to communicate it to others.

I remember we told his teacher, she was grateful because it helped her manage those situations. She just lets him be alone for a little while, then he goes back to the class routine.

It's really nice that you're able to establish a good way of responding to and teaching him about these conflicts from such a young age! He's going to grow up feeling understood and secure :qh:

Not always, to be honest.
We both have a quite explosive nature. We are keeping everything to ourselves, not saying a thing, until we are too angry to keep it inside and we explode. So being patient with him is not my best quality.
But when he's like that I do get it, so I suppose that being alike helps.

I find it so amusing when he says things such as "I sometimes feel unloved".
Oh, I've felt unloved so often, and never dared word it. I think being understood by someone at least allows him to be able to share that kind of feelings.

I think it's great that he trusts enough to be able to voice that! So often we don't dare to voice our true feelings in fear of being hurt :mccry:

Btw the new MT is gorgeous! You were right about the darker colors with bright edge! :mclove:

I don't think I've ever seen one that spammed this much!

I'm loving the new MT background so much, it fits EVERYTHING :mcargh:

It is really beautiful and I've seen several really nice avatars with it.
You even made two or is it my imagination?
