Wouldn't be able to use the same system that counts donuts?
I mean, the spam and word games forum don't count for donut count and we have a tracker so I guess the data is stored somewhere and that would be the easiest way.

I think that would make sense, that the post count code would be similar or the same to the donuts posting one.

Actually, this site is about the only thing that makes me curious about how coding works.
Mostly I don't care.
But then I come here, and trying to figure out how it all happens behind the scenes really engenders interest!
-What if there's a predictable algorithm behind Fairy Item appearances?
-How does it know to trigger a donut prize when Grog isn't here, and what makes the difference in the number of donuts?
-If it has to come up with a random factor, how does it do that?
-Are there a lot of hidden statistics that are kept but not shown, or are the only ones tracked somehow available to see, somewhere on the site?
-When you add a functional item to a Knuffel room, how does it keep track of the exact time for each item for each knuffel, to know when the countdown ends for the effect?
-After a while are they all syncronised, maybe to the site time like the digs?
-Why are hidden knuffels sometimes visible on peoples' profiles, and sometimes not?
-if you play with and feed someone else's knuffels, is the feed/play cooldown timer the same for you and the owner or are they separate timers?

I just.... have so many questions...

Maybe? I dunno. I feel like it really depends on how active you are. The more posts you make, the more likely the chance to get donuts off season.

If the Caravan is active, then the random 1-3 donuts will not happen, as the consostent 1/post is in effect. If the Caravan is not running, then the 1-3 potential is in operation

it would be nice to know what the stats are. xD like how often does one get donuts in the offseason? so far, i've gotten 4 donuts since CC left. xD

I have +3 donuts, but they were all from the same post, so it's only happened once since Grog left, for me.
