I think it looks more like the gen 1 knuffel.
For me gen 16 isnt a remake of gen 1.
They have some things in common, thats true, but they differ a lot.

Like the hair and clothes and fins, and so on.

I don't know... Aside from the hair and the girly outfit the water gen 16 knuffel is clearly a remake of the gen 1 water knuffel. The rest is just Frin evolving drawing style.

I like the gen 16 knuffel better than the current for 2 reasons mainly:
1) I love gen 16's hair! Not sure if it would look as good as an avi item, but those tails are adorable
2) The current's eyes are a bit... I don't know...inexpressive. Would have liked it if she had the same style as gen 16

That beeing said, I do like her and I can't wait to see how she ends up

Yeah I also curious about how she evolves.^^

They look alike because this is the 'girl' version and gen 1 was the 'boy' version. I like it as it gives me the idea all our knuffels are getting younger siblings. :}

I like gen 20 more probably because the lines and style are much softer and subtle. But as usual I'll wait for the full evolution :3
