You can try brain storming ideas on paper. Or just stare at random things to get ideas and sketch it on paper. It would probably make it easier later when you find the pen for your tablet.

i had an idea.....it was like a fox knuffel
i think i still have the scanned drawing.... i plan to do a knuffle
of that
it was going to be for the contest but i got lazy >.>
its so old xx'D but i like the idea so maybe i can improve it now

I've had that happen to a few of my things before. One of my bras disappeared off of the face of the earth and I was agrivated because it was only black one. I bought a new black one and that recently went missing as well.
