Maybe you should check the Knuffel Hangout more often?
They say it there when they're about to drop.
If you're interested in a Fire Gen 2, I might drop the one on my mule when it reaches Level 100. But it's at 74 now, so it may take a while. But I can reserve it for you if you want.

That would be very nice of you if you could, but the problem will be finding me online at that time. 
I'm going to get busier as I near the end of the semester, and I don't know how long it will take for you to get it up to that level. And I'm not usually on when those notices occur since I have classes and club now.
