.......clotheslined? xD what does that mean?

Apparently it's a sports term used to refer to someone having an arm out at neck level with the intent of knocking someone down
Outside of sports it doesn't have to be an arm, such as the air hose in the mechanic's case

The goal of clotheslining someone is to knock them down via the neck
An accidental one may not have the knockdown but still get yoinked by the neck

Yeah its super specific. You basically need to hit someone in the front of the neck either wish a pulled tight rope, pipe, hose, or arm.
