@Ambar
I would definitely consider sex therapy once my partner and I live together (which won't be for a while now) and this is still an occurrence ;~; I feel like I can't be discrete with these workshops when I'm living at home.

@River
I've been recommended the pill to regulate my period but I'm really terrified of the side effects such as mood swings, weight gain etc I'm already quite snappy and I hit pretty horrible lows without the effects of the pill. I would be a monster. Plus, I'm very meticulous/obsessive about my weight and I'd hate to lose control of that.

@jacob
Does the smear hurt with fibro? Wait, does sex hurt with fibro? D:

@mem
Omg. I googled vaginismus. It sounds like me ;~; I don't think it has to do with my conservative parents. I got over that a long time ago. Now that I remember, even inserting tampons are painful. In fact, I avoid tampons unless I'm going rock climbing on my flow and even then I buy the super mini ones and it feels like my insides are being sandpapered to hell. Fingers are okay for some reason.

Then again, it sounds like I have the same problem as you mem. I get really horny but he's like 191cm tall and I'm only 165cm and we have a 40kg+ difference. My hips are so small and he's a pretty bulky, big boned dude.

Hmm, I've never orgasm from clitoral stimulation and I really don't like to be on the receiving end of oral sex.

I have been on the pill since 2009..

I used to be hmm 39kg then..? ish. I'm now at the most 43-45kg. And I have a quick metabolism so this is like a huge thing for me.

There are different ones too. There's the stronger ones but some of those have higher risk of blood clots than the one I use which is levelen ED. The cheapy one.

But it doesn't have as high a weight gain risk and stuff like some others could. Tbh I was already moody before the pill.. I don't think it has made my depression worse. I was like that beforehand..

Something to talk to your gp about :3

There are other things like the IUD, Mirena, etc.. or the shot or bar... but I don't like any of those so I stick to the pill.

I wish we had a on/off switch for periods.

Tampons are just sandpaper from hell! They just suck up too much liquid and dry you out more than is natural /comfortable. I have no issues with tightness and still hate the feeling of tampons, so that doesn't really need to have to do anything with other issues.
I'm using a menstrual cup now, and it's so much better. All the pros of tampons, but so much more comfortable (at least for me). If you have no problem with inserting fingers, I can really recommend them.

Oh shit, so it aint just me. Everyone here seems to use tampons, all my friends and sometimes when I ask strangers for hygiene products, they only have tampons. I might try a menstrual cup but is there risk of spillage? When I'm climbing I wear a tampon in conjunction with a pad.

I'm not comfortable with the idea of an IUD or the Implanon. I mean, I might one day suck it up and get an Implanon. Most of my friends have that and it seems so convenient.

There can be a little leaking, especially in the beginning, when you haven't figured out exactly how it has to sit yet. It has a bit of a learning curve. But it's not like all the fluid it collects spills out, more similar to what you might see when a tampon is full or sits weird, too. So wearing it with a pad for climbing at first might be a good idea, then you can see if it leaks for you.
If you want to know more about menstrual cups and how to use them, I recommend preciousstarpads on YouTube - she has a lot of very helpful videos, I learned everything about using them (and choosing them!) there.

River, why do they give you panic attacks? What about them frightens you?

I'm not comfortable with an iud either, but I do have an implanon. I've had it for almost 3 years now, have an appointment to get it changed on the first of August. I'm a bit afraid that taking it out will hurt, but we'll see.
It is very convenient, even though for me it does not stop my periods. But I kind of knew that before, my gyn had me try a pill very similar to it to see if it is good for me first.
I wouldn't want to go back to the hassle of the pill!

Ah, I see. I found that a bit scary in the beginning, too. But once you get the hang of it, it's really easy. Maybe you'll find some tips that will put you more at ease in this video. She goes over a few different problems people might have when removing a cup there.

thank you so much for the info Chrizine :qh: this is also more environment friendly than all the waste that is using tampons and pads so i'm going to look into it
