It definitely is, that is a big plus :)
It's nice when things are good for the environment and convenient at the same time! It's also a lot cheaper in the long run, since you can use a cup for up to 10 years and depending on which one you buy the initial investment isn't even that bad either. (Although you might end up buying a second one to see if it fits you better, at least I did that. There's so many different ones available, and who of us really knows their vagina so well that they choose the perfect one at once ;) )

oh I've used it a few times... just not sure the panic attacks are worth it lately.

I have a lunette one.

Yeah, I can imagine that something must be pretty awesome to be worth having panic attacks over. I was just thinking that maybe it would help against panicking to know a few strategies to deal with getting it out problems.

I don't have a lunette, so I don't really know what it's like, but I've heard it's a good one. I have a meluna and a ruby cup myself.

@Poshi everything hurts with fibro :qhehe: Sometimes it can be painful with sex. But mostly that's my back or my legs hurting because of the positions rather than the actual sex making pain. If that makes any sense at all. Smear wouldn't particularly hurt more necessarily but I'm just not comfortable with it.

Glad I'm not the only one who hates tampons! Honestly sometimes I'm like, can't I just sit in a bath for a week or something? Obviously refreshing the water often rofl. It just irks me having to wear anything at all because there's still always risks of leaks etc and you're never fully comfortable.

I know what you mean. I always want to shower when I'm on my period. I want to stand/sit under warm running water directed at my front and back to soothe my stiff muscles. Why must we bleed from our vagina, have a sore back, numb legs AND be bloated as crap. *sulks

I don't even want children ;-; make it stop. BUT I DON'T WANT TO RAPIDLY AGE.

I definitely haven't made my mind up about the menstrual cup. Does it feel comfortable? Can you get away with a pad? I hate how pads make you feel moist. I hate that damp feeling D:

Yesss running water is the best. Maybe I can just live under a (warm) waterfall for those days every time 8D

For me personally, I don't feel the cup at all. I also don't need to wear a pad in addition anymore, now that I have figured out inserting it. I don't wear my best panties though, just in case ;)
If I don't have cramps (I only get them sometimes, I think I got lucky there), I can basically forget that I'm on my period throughout the day.
I love it! I was never comfortable with either tampons or pads (Poshi, I sooo know what you mean), I wish I had found out about cups much earlier. For me it makes a world of a difference!

Which is why I spam info about them into every discussion that touches on period products, I guess...

@Poshi: Hm, maybe it isn't the vaginismus then. Either way, I think it would be okay to talk to a sexologist and maybe they would be able to figure it out.

period talk (my fave 8D lol): I would be slightly scared to use the cup... I actually like tampons, but can't use them. I don't have that big of a flow so changing them is painful, since they don't suck enough blood throughout the max 4 hours (I think it was? someone correct me plz?). But they just... clog me up... :qoops: And it hurt me more, and the pain lasts longer. And I don't need any additional pain, I'm already dying frequently enough. If my period isn't too painful one month, I'm SUPER lucky. I need perscription painkiller to get rid of the pain, and sometimes even that only dulls it. :qsob: So, I like tampons, because they don't leave the damp feeling or anything. But because they clog me like that, I get worse cramps and sometimes they can last even through the whole period and beyond. So no, thank you. I'm done. I rather feel like having a diaper :qsweat: At least we have the pads that don't feel like it. ... Too much :qhehe:
So I would be scared a cup would feel similar to tampons for me.

Mem, the issues with the tampon drying you out because there's not enough flow are something that cups don't have. Because they don't suck, they just collect what flows naturally.
I have actually read that some people experience less cramps with the cup. I was always wondering how that could make sense, but if you say tampons make your cramps worse, maybe that's it! (You just gave me a little epiphany ;)) If these people used tampons before and had the same problems as you, I would understand why they say the cup lessens the cramps. Since I was more of a pad user, I don't have the same experience, of course!

Hm, maybe I should look for one of these then uB
Well, I had the comparison, because I've been using pads first, then tampons, then noticed how badly they influence me... so switched back to pads :qsweat: So maybe the cup wouldn't lessen the pain for me, but at least maybe it wouldn't be as bad as tampons are.
