So I'm thinking of donating for some fc (say 5?) and selling them here in this thread on a '1 per person' basis at a set fair price. I'm thinking of trying to make it a monthly thing

I would add that reselling for a higher price and/or trying to get more than 1 fc with a mule or such would get you blacklisted.

d'you think that would help the fc crisis a bit? or is it more a 'nice but not as helpful as you think' thing, cause I'm actually hoping it'd have some long term effects if I could keep it up c':

I'm not sure how big of an impact it would have on the overall site economy. But it would certainly be great for the people that just have no way of donating to get the chance of obtaining a set now and then. I remember we used to have someone who sold the monthly sets for fp in a thread and there were always a huge number of people who were super happy to get it that way.
And I mean, you would help the site by donating in any case, right? So it's not wasted money.

So, if you wanna (and can afford to) do this, I'd say try it out - we will see after a while if it has an effect, but even if there's no noticeable change in the fc economy, you will have made a bunch of people happy and maybe at least raise the number of current TT items that are around a little.

But be prepared to have a lot of people coming in and wanting those FC... At least once word gets around.

I would open the fc sale at different times to hopefully help different people get one. It'd be a set price so anyone who would have the funds and posted would get one. I'm not sure on what price to set them though, the value has changed so much O.o

Sounds good to me. If you really have trouble because too many people come you could still implement a rule like everyone only gets a shot if they didn't already buy one the previous month or people who didn't get one the month befor ehave priority over people who got one or something along those lines.

Price is a super difficult question though.

I auctioned one off in the market in december and it went to 85k. Last april I sold a few that went into the 60-something k range.
Last january I had one go to 75k.
That's all the somewhat recent data points I have :D
But maybe it helps, since I find the market statistics graphic for fairy coins less than conclusive. Makes me sad to look at it, though... It used to be so stable for such a long time :o

Well, if your goal is to bring prices back down a bit, maybe 50k is a good idea. I would have said go for something around or a little over 60k maybe?
Maybe someone else who is keeping a closer look at current market prices than me can give better advice though. I usually just auction them so I don't have to figure out prices when I do want to sell one
People who are buying them might have better data (looking at Akili, who usually keeps good track of stuff and won that last auction of mine)?

I think the lowest I remember them to be was 15-20k. That was already pretty nice in comparison to now though... And then I think for the longest time it was 35k.

Wow, the economy has changed so much. I too remember fc being a lot cheaper, 20k at most. I was going to say I'd be interested until I saw the mention of their prices nowadays. Yikes. xD

Yeah, they have increased in price quite a lot, unfortunately :(
