To uh circumvent that summer shaving issue, I just don't go outside.

I uh, tweeze between the lines 8U I really can't use anything but tweezers for my underarms. Everything makes that area so angry. This is why you'll never see me in a sleeveless outfit.

Hot damn I would love some laser removal XD even an epilator to be fair, they're so expensive (I don't know if it's the same for you guys). But I can't really justify that kind of cost right now.

My mum got me an epilator years ago. Problem with them is they turn the skin dark in the shaving area and I also get irritation from the fast pulling/rubbing motion. I mean, the prices of hair removal clinics look reasonable to me especially around my area. These places are always filled with customers. It's a very popular thing that everyone and their mum seems to be getting except for well, mine.

A lot of the times they have sales and treatments get cheap. I think for underarms + brazillian it can go as low as $19 per treatment although they say it takes 10 to become effective. Usually they're $35-$50? I'm sure you can prepay like 10 consultations and it saves some money. How much is it there? I suppose that's still a solid $300-$500.

I don't know the prices for the clinics since I didn't look into it in a long while. But yeah, at that kind of price it would be too much to take on XD I mean I'm already paying £80 every 6 weeks for my haircut and colour, I can't really add on too much else on top of the products etc I already buy.

You know there are home lasers for hair removal?
I have one. They are around 200€. They aren't as strong as the ones in the clinics, so they don't stop your hair growth permanently, just slows it down. They claim that if you use them regularly, your hair will only grow back after a few months, though I can assure you, it doesn't work like this. I still shave like probably once a week. But to me that's alreat a relieve because my hair grows so fast that if I shaved in the morning, I would have stubbles again in the evening and my skin was really getting very irritated from all the shawing. In summer I had the choice between running around with hairy legs or with legs full of red infected dots. Both looked horrible, so I often opted for long pants.
Epilating also doesn't work for me. It takes maybe also a week till the hair starts showing again and it also growns into the skin and gets infected. So the home laser is like a life-saver to me, even though even after a year I still use it every 2 weeks and it doesn't keep me hairless like promised. But it still helps me a lot and I am glad I have it.

I also once read up about permanent hair removal, but I read a lot of negative reviews about the clinics here from people who claim that they keep having treatments and their hair will just continue growing even though they have spend thousands (!) of dollars on hair removal already. And since my har is so stubborn and grows so fast, I am afraid I would probably be one of these people where it would not work so well.

A friend of mine got her hair removed under her armpits. She did it at a doctor's clininc, but even the doctor said that it won't last forever. She said it lasted about 7 or 8 years and now it is growing back again.

I just use an epilator everywhere besides the lady parts. The lady parts were getting too infected x.x I'd love a home laser thing for that, but for now I can't think about buying it yet, they're too expensive so far.
I must say the epilator is the most effective with the armpits, they grow really slowly now and less thick as they used to be.
The leg hairs also don't grow as thickly (after using the epilator pretty frequently within a year or so), but I still need to epilate about once in a week or two. I also don't get too much ingrown hairs (or worse, the infected ingrown hairs), they mostly just stay under the thinnest skin so I can see them and actually tweeze them out if necessary. Sometimes I'm too lazy, 'cause people don't really look so closely at people's legs. Arms is a different story... I should epilate them. *kicks the dark hairs*
It's funny how my hair also grows pretty fast like Firn's. Shave in the morning, stubble in the evening, yup, that's me as well :qd:

Yeah, same here. My hair is super dark. Especially considering my skin is as white as a vampire's XD

:qh: Hey all,
That happened to me with a treatment for permanent laser hair removal. I spent about $1000 on 5 treatments, which they said would be enough. But it didn't work ):
I did it because my sister who lives in San Deigo CA got it done, 5 treatments and she says it worked. (on bikini area) She gets only a few hairs down there every once and a while after the treatment!
I wondered if it is because i live in a small town, in Oregon, where there is no competition, for their buisness in laser hair removal, so they don't do as good of a job to get people to come back for more treatments? I am not sure, but i am annoyed that I got no results, for the same price, and my sister's treatment worked, and mine didn't.
I think it just depends on the place you go to, and how competitive the company is with others in the area.
I would not go to one in a small town. It's a waste!
But i would be willing to try again at the place my sister went 2. lol

I hear there are good ones here in Australia but they'd be city locations more.

If I had a job years ago I think I would've gone for at least underarm hair.

@jacob
You see the trick is not to cut nor dye your hair and save! Haha (jks). I cut my hair once every 2 years. I'm allergic to bleach and most dyes so I can't even think about it :3 I just let it grow and I leave it alone. I've probably saved tonnes of money this way.

@Firn
Oh! I've never heard of home laser kits. It sounds dangerous. 200 euros is still a lot of money. In AUD, that's $300. I could probably get 10 laser treatments for one-two small areas and even more if it's sale period. Is it easy to use?

Wow, your hair does grow fast O_O I don't have much hair compared to others and it definitely doesn't grow that fast except in my underarms. I get red dots from shaving too or rashes :(

@Bunnei
$1000 on 5 treatments??? That's so much money unless it was a full body treatment x_x It's a shame that it didn't work for you. Did you ever go back and make a complaint?
