I am probably one of the pickiest eaters in the world... but luckily part of my pickiness is that meat grosses me out if it has the slightest resemblance to, well, meat. :mcheh: I can only eat it when in the form of for example sausages. Minced meat is alright most of the time too, though I have phases where I can't even eat that. I also love tofu a lot - not just as "meat substitute" as it is often seen as in the west, but just for what it is.
I could really live without meat easily, but I don't want my husband to go through the effort of cooking two different meals, so I usually just pick out the meat from my dish and give it to him.

I can eat chicken, mince, sometimes diced beef or strips of beef. But I'm picky with steaks. Also I do like roasts but be prepared for me to cut off the fatty bits. Even if said fatty bit still has some meat on it... I hate gristle.

That said I don't eat proper meals much lately. I rarely feel like cooking.. I prefer to just do simple meals like my tuna and rice and some sauce, sometime bacon with it.

Oh yeah I do love bacon. This reminds me, the tuna bit, that I miss sushi.

But I'm particular with textures and stuff.

I never feel like cooking. I even hate it and it wasn't for my husband, I would just eat bread with cheese all day, because that's what I always eat when he is not at home. It just is too much trouuble to go through for just one person. All the mess and all the ingredients you need for a proper meal. It's just not worth the effort for me and I don't enjoy it. I love baking though. Maybe I would not only eat bread with cheese every day, but cheesecake... :qsmr:

Mm. I like cooking up pasta and the odd other meal like stir fry things. But that's about it.

I suck at baking and still have a slight fear of the oven. =/ That and being a cheap rental, our stove and oven isn't the best. tbh if I baked I'd go to Peter's parents place a few streets away.

I think I could be vegetarian, but not vegan. I like an omlette from time to time :qlol: And bf's fried eggs :mclove:
Sometimes when I look at raw meat and I realize it used to be alive and felt things, I just don't feel like preparing it anymore :qsweat:

I'm afraid of cooking. As in, I'm afraid I'm gonna mess up the food :qhehe:
And I only know how to bake one thing - cocoa cookies. I'm too afraid to try new things x.x

I do enjoy an antipasto platter. You're making me crave cheese and olives Firn!!!

I'm pretty boring though and I like cheddar or a soft cheese like Camembert or brie. I like cheddar because they often have fun flavours like lime and herbs or sriracha hahaha. I'm rather put off by the blue of blue cheese.

I need one of them japanese oven/microwave things. Our old oven isn't great as it's non-convection. My cupcakes tend to dome and sometimes they go dry.

I can neither be vegan nor vegetarian because I can't eat a lot of greens without breaking out in a rash ovo I can't eat most beans or tofu or anything too high in Vit B.

Vegetarian since birth here :3 I would really like to go vegan but yeah cheese. And eggs. I feel really bad every time I eat eggs but there's no good substitute yet... you can have things that replace egg as an ingredient, like in a cake, but you can't have a fake fried egg. I've been going to a lot of vegan events lately (free press tickets from my blog) and the food options have come on so many leaps and bounds in the last three or so years. I keep shaking my head and remembering ten years ago when the only vegetarian options around would normally be chips or plain pizza XD

That's true. When I was a vegetarian, that was probably already 15 years ago and back then you would rarely find vegetarian (or even vegan) food options when you went out eating. - But also the stuff you can buy in supermarket has changed drastically. Nowadays most supermarkets have a vegetarian/vegan corner, but back then you could not get this kind of stuff in normal supermarkets at all, but had to go to the small organic stores (that maybe sold a pack of tofu and two or 3 different "vegetarian sausages" and that was all). Now there are tons of "fake meat" options in regular supermarkets and some of them are crazy delicious. I love vegetarian pork sausage and vegetarian Cordon bleu! They are just soo delicious and I prefer them over the real meat versions. If only they weren't so expensive.

Sometimes I wonder if I could go vegetarian, but then I go grocery shopping and see the prices of the vegetarian/vegan products and my brain goes lol nope, nothing to do here, let's buy some ham now xD
