Kingdom of Knuffel

Haha no I'm not, but I'm glad you like the idea. I was wondering how I was going to do that, but now he has a purpose. ^_^

I'm not. As soon as he hits 100, I'm gonna want to drop him so I can buy a new Knuffel and have 7.5k to spend on commons, and then I'm gonna think "Hey I promised him to someone :o". No guarantee I am gonna remember who I promised him to, but I'll probably put up a message in the titles of my threads then. xD

After dinner today I put some pieces of leftover strawberries in Mika's feeding cup. She doesn't eat while I'm in the room yet, so I left her to it for a few hours. When I came back to check on her I couldn't find a piece that was left. :D
So now I am absolutely sure that she eats while I'm gone. Which is really good to know because I was afraid she wouldn't due to stress and stuff. And according to the muck in the water bowl, she drinks too, since I wouldn't know how else the water can get so murky in the few minutes I leave my room after I filled it. xD
But I'm also really glad that she likes fruit, 'cause then I can use it to tame her. If I hold it up in front of her beak daily, surely at one point she'll eat it out of my hand, right?
And now I don't have to use mealworms for it which also really relieves me. The people at the pet store told me that she loved those, but quite a few other people have told me that feeding him those mealworms, is exactly what killed Wallace. So I'm not exactly excited to feed them to Mika >>

I accidentally stumbled upon an article about an adult magpie for sale and, even though I wanted to wait until after my flight attendant training, I couldn't let an offer like this go. xD
I got her straight away. She just has some issues since, even though she was hand-raised, she's been in an aviary for a year and totally isn't accustomed to humans anymore. She already freaks when you stand besides her cage. >>
So I have to tame her all over again. Which takes a lot of time and effort, and patience, most of all xD
And it's totally new to me since both Wallace and Sully somehow were already pretty tame (Sully was hand-raised, born in captivity, but Wallace fell out of his nest) and I've never been able to get my canary to get used to me.
So I really hope I'm up for the task. But merely the fact that she eats strawberries somehow puts me at ease. xD

I wouldn't know what to do with a whole flock. Besides, they don't even live in flocks.
It would be impossible to tame them, they'd attack each other, they'd shit on everything, they'd wreck the whole house... no thank you, a single magpie can destroy enough xD
The first thing Mika did when I wanted to put her in her cage was escape and sit on my books. Ass above my Terry Pratchett collection. That tells me enough. xD
