It's been a long time since I was in a group of friends like that lol. High school I guess. Normally I have different friends who I hang out with individually or in couples rather than groups that all get together at once. None of us buy each other gifts either, usually just a small token or card if we go to a birthday meal together.

@Poshi
All the handmade plushes I receive are small. I have two more that aren't displayed, but that's because I need to make a nice case to hold them. They're about six inches or less?
@jacobgrey
Aye, all my high school friends are Facebook friends, now. XD We rarely ever hang out.

I don't even like them enough to talk on Facebook XD I have one guy who has been my best friend since I was 13. The others, well, him and I just laugh at how awful they've become when we meet up XD

I'm amazed by the different directions my high school friends have taken. One seems very happily married, another is off doing some interesting military (I think) work, and another either works at a ranch or just really likes horses (unsurprising).

A birthday meal sounds about right. The only person who gets cards from me is my bf. That's because I'm not good at putting my feelings down on paper and I'm pretty spontaneously. I do feel bad because my friends tend to be more sentimental and I'm the awkward type. I have a difficult time expressing appreciation.
Oh that's fairly small. My plushes are around 16 inches.
My friends aren't too diverse.

Aha, I'm also bad at writing cards. *facehands*
All my friends know I love them though. Occasionally, I'll have outbursts of feels and they just have to sit there and listen to me tell them how much I care for them. XD But they grew up with me, so they know and are used to it. We're a loving group, for the most part, even though we don't always verbally communicate it (not directly, anyways).
Dude, I think I only have one or two plushies like that? I think my brother gave me ChocoCat...and I can't remember what the others were.
Some of my current friends are more diverse than others. We range from students, to office workers, to a dude from the electric company, or a teacher, to a nurse. Not as out there as my high school friends, but different enough.

I have those outbursts with mum and my bf and the occasional single line of appreciation for some of my friends. I feel like I'm next level awkward 'orz but you know I care because I surprise you with gifts. It's the only way I know how.
I have a huge totoro 'orz and the bear is almost as large. My alpacaso is small comparatively but still the size of a small baby.
Some of my friends have already gone back to uni for their second round of studies. I'm still on my first. Let's see, we've got 1 occupational therapist, a contemporary arts teacher, migration law, logistics and IT, someone who did international studies but now just does retail, someone who works in a bar, radiology and another in vet studies. I think that's all. Then all my uni friends are either engineers, physicists or computer science people.

Most of mine just stayed in the town where we grew up and had babies. Sooooo yep. Not really my type of people XD I mean I would understand more if it was even a nice town but it isn't. Not even saying that in a "everyone hates where they grew up" kind of way because I'm pretty nostalgic about it. Just compared to other towns where I've lived, it's just a dirty, poor, crumbling old place filled with chavs that has gotten much worse in the decade since I was there. Nothing grows there. Not a great place to live out your life or raise your kids.
Also many of them have become very annoying people
very possibly I just didn't realise it until I had a bit of distance from them and then got in contact with them again, I just can't stand them anymore.

Did you move far away from that town?
You probably didn't notice because you were also immersed in that culture. I played too many hours of RS today *sigh

Yeah, about a three hour drive. Probably doesn't sound that far to US people but it's about half of England haha XD
A lot of them haven't grown up either. I have so they feel like kids to me now.
