I grew up around parents who butchered our own meat, and a dad who would sometimes murder pets when he got really angry. So most things meant for scary entertainment don't work on me. Most monster movies have me squealing at the cute monster. Or the cute giant robots attacking the monster. If I want to watch something scary, I go for environmental disaster.

I've seen some horrible things in real life and I've been into true crime shows since I was a kid.
It's hard to surprise or shock me at this point.
But I'm a very empathetic person, so I wouldn't say I'm numb to bad things.
I like to help others and save anyone or anything that I can.
Which is impossible.

I've always been a true crime but lately I think I actually got too deep into it. I'm also very empathetic and I have a vivid imagination, so when I hear a story I start to picture how it would feel to be that victim. I did some intense studying on one particular case and once I'd gone really far into it I think I broke myself lol. Now I'm actually having a hard time hearing about particularly brutal cases or cases that hit home in certain ways. We love listening to the Casefile podcast and I did all the other episodes without a problem, but when we got to the East Area Rapist episodes I got really uncomfortable and upset and had to stop.

I can't hear any true life rape stories, I start crying ;___; But me putting a fictional character through something like that seems like something I can handle 8D But if it's in anybody else's books? I cry X'D #fucklogic

I get affected by a lot of stuff.
I'm an emotional person, so I tend to get carried away.
Especially when I'm angry.
I know not everyone believes in ghosts and such, but when I watch ghost shows, and they mention how the person died, tears just automatically come out.
And I've heard people say "They're __ who cares!?"
I care. >BU
I tend to feel bad for people I shouldn't feel bad about.
I've had Aki tell me many times I shouldn't have apologized to certain people because I wasn't the one who did anything wrong.
But I prefer for everyone to get along and be nice.

Uh, same, I sometimes can't control my anger, but I try ;n;
I've been watching buzzfeed unsolved: supernatural not too long ago, it was about ghosts, and they always mention how the people died and I get really sad at the stories, but then when Ryan takes out that "spirit box" and I actually hear something that resembles a human voice and words... my eyes get teary. Not from fear, but it's just so freaking sad that souls get trapped in the places they've died in... ;>///>
they also have the series "true crime" and I sometimes want to cry when I hear what the victims have suffered D': And my eyes actually get wet
Unnecessary apologies is my life's jam

I'm learning not to apologize for the shit I didn't do or had no control over. It's hard ;>_>

I tend to apologize too. But years ago, when I was working in a survey call centre, I got so accustomed to taking flack that I thanked a homeless guy for insulting me when I wouldn't give him money.
