Exactly. It's both understandable and kind of logical, but unfortunately not entirely fair.
What a pain, hopefully the knuffel auctions might help drop the FC prices.

How are the donations so far? Still worse than before this new perk system?

Yea, the main problem seems to be the drastic inflation of FCs - I don't really know what to do about that problem. I know just having more active users again would be the best solution, as more users means more donations, more donations mean more FC around, more FC mean lower prices for FC....but getting more users to join and be active seems to be the one thing I am failing at for years. Having more things to spend Food on also sounds plausible, but I often feel like people won't really spend much food on stuff that'S permanently there but rather hoard it for things like buying FC from other users - for horrendous prices.

Donations are doing okay so far this months, but I though the same thing last month where we had a really good start, but then donations stopped almost completely around the middle of the month, so it's pretty much impossible to say at this point. Might be a good month if people continue to donate as they ave the past 2 weeks (which is unlikely), might be just as bad as ever if they stop donating again.

Yes, it's really hard to sell old items for decent prices.
That's one of the reasons I stopped auctioning off old items. People just were not willing to pay what the item seemed worth.
But I think there are various reasons to that:

The art of older items just isn't as great - At least in my opinion.

Older colors just aren't as popular. If you look for example at the avatar contest and the winners, almost all avatars in the top 10 use some of the never colors (meaning pretty much everything since the introduction of Blue Iris/Magenta) and all these colors obviosuly were not used in the older items as they did not exist. Less popular colors = less popular items.

And, last but not least: There are fewer active users around, so, as crazy as it sounds, older items are far more common then some of the newer ones. A while ago we added a "rarity-ranking" feature to the market (not sure anyone noticed?) that shows you how rare an item is. Items are devided into Extremely rare, Very rare, Rare, Common, Frequent, Very frequent and Extremely frequent depending on how many of them exist. And most limited items from this year are at least rare, while older ones are at least common or frequent. Naturally older items should be rarer, but because the active user number has declined so much, it's all reversed now and newer items are rarer than older ones.

speaking of rare items....I'd happily buy the isis set if people don't mind waiting a while for me to get the fp built up. I admit I'm still saving up 100k for mem..

but when I get posting and digging I can get the fp kind of easily. Though I need people to post with first
