Lol, but please do remember they're not like a kitty. They are really hard to keep and need attention 24/7. Way too many end up in shelters because they turn out to be more trouble than fun. Please think it through well enough before you start something :)

And yes, a lot of research is required to find a breeder! No one is interested in keeping a corvid so they can't make any money with them. Here in Holland I couldn't find a single magpie breeder. As far as I looked I could find none in Germany or Belgium either. I only accidentally stumbled across someone with a small jackdaw nest... so I decided that looks weren't thát important after all. :p

I started out with a canary. I couldn't find a magpie, but I wanted a bird anyway. I thought about getting a small one of the parrot family. But they needed a lot of attention and I decided I couldn't give him that. And thus I took a jackdaw later which, luckily, doesn't need attention at all. ^_^;;
Then I fell in love with a canary. He was very pretty and sang like a... well, pretty good canary xD

Where are you going? :)

Oh of course. :) I totally understand that; it's taken me over two years to come to a final decision on getting a lizard, so I would probably not get a bird for another 3 or 4 years down the line at least. There's nothing I hate more than someone who doesn't do their homework before getting an animal, and the animal suffers as a result of that.

Awh, well congrats on finding one. c: That's wonderful!

I have a feeling if I do end up getting a house, I'll end up having lizards and birds mostly, haha.
I'm at my parents right now though, and they have a couple of Siamese cats; the kitten's sitting on my knee right now. xD They're lovely, but I don't know if I'll get one or not because they're just so full of mischief it's ridiculous. You can't keep anything out of their reach.

I'm heading up to Aberdeen tomorrow for an interview at John Lewis on wednesday. c: I have my fingers crossed, but we'll see how it goes. I've never had a group interview before. I think the plan is that I'm getting the bus up there with the essentials; I already have a laptop up there that I can use until my parents travel up in the car with my iMac, PS3, and anything else that I've left behind. Though I don't know how I'm going to cope without my Mac since it's become a daily necessity for me as far as artwork is concerned.

Well that's what I like to hear :)
I seem to 'inspire' people when I tell them about Sully, and most of the time the first thing they say is "Yeah I've always wanted a raven..." so then I tell them I don't think a raven is suitable to keep in a house and then all of the sudden they agree that a jackdaw is a fantastic bird and want to know where I got him. xD
Yeah, thanks, but no thanks, guys.

If that bothers you, DO NOT TAKE A CORVID! x'D
Mischief and messes, they love it... nothing, nothing is safe... they're worse than cats because they can fly of course so putting things high is of no use...

Aberdeen... I'm so jealous... Good luck with your interview, lady <3

Another Mac user, yay!

Ahahaha, that's true. xD I don't know though. It depends on what mood I'm in, most days I'll love to watch a mischievous pet, but sometimes it just drives me mental. I guess with a mischievous pet, they add a lot of character to your life which makes it fun. We'll see though. I don't intend on getting bird anytime soon; certainly not when I'm renting a flat.

Aberdeen's not that special; it's a lovely city (I'd argue that it's nicer than Edinburgh), but because it's the oil capital, renting a flat there is pure extortion. But thank you! I have my fingers crossed that this interview goes well, as I'd love to work with John Lewis as an employer. I've not heard anything but praise for them. <3

Yup! *High fives* I got this baby for my 21st, I think what they say is true; Once you go Mac, there's no going back. x'D

Edit: First two stages of Mojito done.

Yeah, that's true. Sometimes he makes my heart melt, but sometimes I would like to throw him across the room. x'D
And well, as long as pets are allowed, I wouldn't care. :p
I live with my parents now but I'm gonna have to move out at some point. He'll definitely go with me.

That definitely sounds good <3
But I like every bit of the UK, and I want to see Scotland really bad... and hang around in a pub and meet some lovely Scotsmen and laugh about their accent and humor. :D

I bought my MacBook shortly after my 20th birthday because our PC had broken down and it was taking me too long, it had driven me crazy so I went to the store and bought it, period. <3
And most certainly. It still took me 3 years to buy one myself but they are expensive...

Very promising :mclove:

I’ll be getting my gecko this year regardless; I just won’t let on to my landlord. :’D I simply cannot wait any longer, plus they’re just like goldfish really... They’ll be kept in a small vivarium so I don’t see what the problem with that would be.

Haha, well if you were ever up in this direction I’d be able to show you all the best pubs/bars to go to. ^w^

Ah, that’s awesome! I fancy a Macbook myself, but it’ll be a while before I can afford one of those. Worth the money though, I think. My next technological purchase might just be an iPod though. Someone nicked my MP4 player so I have no music to listen to on the bus tomorrow. :( Gonna have to take two or three books with me instead. Which reminds me, I still have to pack for tomorrow, so I better get on since it’s now 20 to 12 here.

And thankyou! I can’t wait to finish her. c: She’s a lot of fun!

It was nice talking to/ meeting you! I’ll probably be back on again tomorrow night if I can get my laptop/ internet to work up in my flat. But until then, bye! :mccute:

And indeed, I've always thought about small pets like that either ^_^

I'll definitely ask you! :D
I think this summer it will be mostly Germany, that was easier and cheaper... but I really want to see Scotland as well. <3
I really want to see Loch Laggan but I can't find any hotels or cottages near.. :')

Shouldn't you go for an iPhone then? Practically an iPod but with the function to call. :p
I think iPods nowadays are kind of useless :o

See you tonightish then, and best of luck!! :qh:

Hahahaha sorry Nins! :p

It's from a poem about Australian Magpies.
Australian Magpies sound way different from ours :p
They're not even magpies.

When Tom and Elizabeth took the farm
The bracken made their bed
and Quardle oodle ardle wardle doodle
The magpies said
Tom's hand was strong to the plough
and Elizabeth's lips were red
and Quardle oodle ardle wardle doodle
The magpies said

Year in year out they worked
while the pines grew overhead
and Quardle oodle ardle wardle doodle
The magpies said

But all the beautiful crops soon went
to the mortgage man instead
and Quardle oodle ardle wardle doodle
The magpies said

Elizabeth is dead now (it's long ago)
Old Tom's gone light in the head
and Quardle oodle ardle wardle doodle
The magpies said

The farms still there. Mortgage corporations
couldn't give it away
and Quardle oodle ardle wardle doodle
The magpies say.
