Definitely...I think anything from Subeta will have to wait a while. And also, I don't even mind CSC commissions either because it's something I can attain on the site with their monies.

>.> Some people seem to think pretty highly of their art as well. XD I don't want to put anyone's art down cos I know they probably worked hard on it but there's a few lower quality arts people are wanting USD for. (Then again, though, there are the few people that just throw whatever they can out there to make a quick buck from someone so...who knows.)

Aww, yeah. I always feel bad when I don't value someone's art as much as they do. .___. I usually just pass over those shops. :qhehe:

Yea. I wouldn't mind supporting someone just to give them a bit of hope and confidence but I won't be paying cash to do so. XD

This person has some adorable art but she only does overlays. ): I don't even know how to use overlays. XD Plus I'm not on there much to even care about what my pets look like. Though, it might be interesting to have an animal form of Lira. Hmmm...-strokes chin-

Hello~ mind if I join you guys? :)

I was reading some of the previous comments, and I gotta agree on the art for USD thing. Seems like everything revolves around real money nowadays, so what's the point of game currency? DX

And isn't overlay a layer setting on photoshop? I think? >.>

Of course! :D

Yeah I can get having RL commissions set up. But if you have a shop on a site, it should be fore the currency or items of that site. O.o otherwise it seems kinda rude, like taking away from the site itself.

Oh, I know that. XD I wonder what different it makes when selling art... or if that even has anything to do with it. O.o

Oh, sorry. XD I'm over here watching movies with boyfriend. 8B Overlays on Subeta is just an image you can code to sit over the default images of your pet so it looks different. A lot of people do custom overlays and profile art/codings to make their pet look something they came up with or ever characters they have with matching profile art. Some are really nice but I can't do any of it and I'd have to pay someone to code/draw art for the profile as well so...it just seems like a hassle to me. XD

I drew another little doodle today. I think it's...Failgasm's? OC with his polecat. @-@ I'm afraid the polecat probably looks nothing like a polecat. T.T But I tried three times at it and eventually just left it as it is...his feet are so big compared to his body. Dx

I actually had to look up what a polecat was... :qsweat: Completely different name in my language...
But it looks cute! A bit funny though if the screen is a bit darker... The hair flows into the polecats fur so it looks like a whole! :mclaugh:

well, i can understand both RL vs. avie site commissions.
i feel the trend is something like this (of course does not mean everyone is like this):
a lot of artists start off relatively young, so when they first draw for these sites, they aren't professionals, haven't gone through art school, possibly still going to high school (or in some amazing cases, junior high), no bills to pay or anything like that. then after a few years, they enter college, bills to pay, not having as much time... so having to spend 8 hours on a commission for no real money just doesn't seem worth it anymore... especially now that they are old enough to have their own paypal, buy their own stuff without parents breathing down their backs, and such. or they may just need the extra cash to pay for food so they don't have to eat instant noodles everyday.
again, this isn't all artistis, but if you look at it, the pre-college artists, good or bad, usually take on avie currency... whereas the college and older groups are the ones that tend to take on more RL commissions.
