I've had a horrible horrible cough because of the weather and people keep staring at me like I have the plague.

I wish it was 'normal' to wear the face masks here in Aus. when you're sick and not just in Asia.
I need some people to cover their face on public transport. It's really gross when people sneeze loudly or cough and you're like 'PLS, NOT IN MY DIRECTION KTHANX.'
Plus it would be nice for me to wear one when I'm not feeling 100%, especially on days when I don't feel like wearing make up o:

I love the patterned masks too. I'd feel awkward wearing one in the U.S. however. It is only really common at raves and things which I don't go to.

Yeah I cover my cough as much as possible and they're dry ones since I'm not bacteria sick but I always feel like it is bothering people.

I've never seen anyone wear them hear either, except maybe tourists.
I usually hide in bathrooms and cough unless it's an unexpected coughing fit.
I try to stop it with a gulp of water before I bother too many people.
