I rarely smile in photos... except when I do want to, most of the time say family photos if just feels so forced

I can't remember the last time I made photos, must be vacation with bf a few years ago...

I take the odd selfie.. but -shrug- I'm not body happy lately and stuff

I hate photos of myself as well. But I think some people are really not photogenic and it doesn't mean they are ugly IRL. I have a friend who always looks like a different person on photos and I don't know why. She is really pretty in RL!
I have a very asymmetric face and I think it shows more in photos, because in photos your face motion is frozen, while in RL your face is always in motion, so you do not notice the asymmetry so much. Especially when I smile - I think I look like Quasimodo on photos when I smile. One side of my mouth always goes up much higher and squeezes one of my eyes shut, making me look like I had a stroke or something.

I find forced smiles even for selfies just uncomfortable lol


And one of my eyes is a bit uh not lazy but unfocused especially when I don't have my glasses on

I have a cousin who has visibly asymmetric face, like one of her jaw bones is much higher than the other one, so yeah... But I wouldn't say she's ugly tho.
I don't know why, but I seem to look like a sloth on photos, like my eyes are very much apart but iRL they aren't... It's weird.
Forced smiles look terrible on photos, that's another reason I look terrible in them, I know I should be smiling but I don't know how much longer I'm supposed to keep the smile so it just turns out awkward. I'm lucky if I don't close my sloth eyes
