@Firn: Skin can be easily influenced by your diet. Diary, sugar, etc. For example I've been eating too much sugar these past two or so months and I look like a teenager again... All month long, not only on pms like I used to before eating so much sugar
Or more like a zitty teenager, I can come off as a teenager even without the zits

Care routine, too. My skin actually ends looking better when I've been wearing makeup because it reminds me to take care of it XD I moisturise before putting makeup on and then cleanse properly when I take it off. Whereas the rest of the time I just.... shower XD

I have tried everything for the past 20 years, no skin care routine (I tried absolutely everything), nor diet ever changed anything, nor could any dermatologist ever help me.
It always makes me sad when people seem to think that people with bad skin have much influence on it and could simply change their skin care routine or their diet and that their bad skin was basically their fault. It might be the case for some people, but some are really just stuck with their skin, no matter what they do. For example, my skin is always bad but it always gets much worse when I am close to my period, so hormons play a big role in it. However, I tried the pill for that and not even that made much difference.

I didn't assume it was your fault, I just wanted to try and think of some help for you

I changed my diet and my skin got better. Not perfect, but much better. Then I began screwing it up again
I still think there must be something going on in your system because it isn't a normal thing that you still have such skin problems. Maybe hormones?
Have you tried acupuncture? I hear this thing is good for everything XD Maybe it would help for a couple months.

Sometimes the bad skin needs the really good 'harsh' stuff from chemists. But even then I've heard of that still not working on some people.
I think mine's worse cause eating take away a bit more but we've got bills and I said no more take away.

As said (I edited my post) , I know hormons play a big role for me, but the pill did not help, or at least made no big difference that seemed worth it. I've not tried acupuncture, but I don't think i could even afford it.
I've the problem that in addition to having very oliy and bad skin, I also seem to have extremely sensitive skin that reacts very bad to harsh stuff, so I get rashes when I try very strong stuff... I am really screwed with bad skin.

I thought the acne problem disappearance from the pill is only a nice side effect that doesn't necessarily happen to everyone
Have you tried some medicine specifically for acne problems? (I bet you did, you mentiond a dermatologist)
And combining it with a diet and strict skin care would have some impact?
But I'm pretty sure you've tried it already
I'm not sure about the prices, but i've heard it might only take like 10 minutes with 2-3 needles in the right spot/s and you might observe some effect for a couple months. A friend from a game told me he only had a 10 minute session with 2 needles and it helped his chronic runny nose problems for the next 3 months.
Try reading about it, maybe it's not that expensive for just a 10 minute session?

It might be that different people and different pills react differently. I don't know. I went to multiple dermatologists and got all kinds of creams, including antibiotics and cortison and one prescribed me a pill that was supposed to help with my skin, but did not.
My mother had accupunctur and it was extremely expensive, I think around 40-50€ per session. Unfortunately I am poor and therefor that's not an option and healt care will not cover it.

Sensitive skin sucks :( I sometimes get oily spots on my face but I mostly have sensitive skin all over, so I use tea tree stuff for it then use aloe vera products to try to counteract the harshness... but I know it may not work for you at all.
Besides I don't use them all the time, when I remember to it's once or twice a week. Any more than that and my skin would flare up more.

I cannot use tea tree products at all, it basically "burns" my skin, I could just as well pour bleach on my skin.
Sometimes there are products that seem to help at first, but after 1-2 weeks they stop working and my skin is back to how it was. Maybe my skin gets "used" to them? I don't know.
