Maybe you could try some kind of alternating? Like, use one of the products that started to work for a couple of weeks, and switch to another one when the effect starts to wear off. Then switch back again when that one starts to wear off as well, so your skin might not get used to it as much or will "forget".
Or I guess you could keep them just for special occasions. Like if you knew x product worked once before, and you had to go to a wedding or something, you can start trying it a week before and then stop after the occasion is passed so your skin doesn't adjust too much and you can still use it again next time.

I hate waiting for someone who's supposed to be there already >.> It used to happen all the time at J's old job because they would make him stay late. When he was already doing the late shift, that was a real pain.

It's not his fault really. His shift is a skeleton crew and lately have had a lot of people being away.
He normally works overtime anyway even when people are there.

It's still annoying for the person waiting at home, no matter whose fault it is :3 especially when you know they're tired and could do with coming home to get some rest.
