I liked it when I used to live with mum and they'd ask for the adult of the house.. I've been an adult for years now, like legally.

I'd answer no there's none here. Or if they asked for mum or dad I'd say they're at work. Mind you this would be the middle of the day so if they assumed I'm a child, then shouldn't they be suspicious about a supposed child at home and not at school?

They'd hang up 9/10 then.

Alas now I get the calls going 'you've been in an accident or someone you know has been' when they're just a scam.

If only I had calls like that, I would probably troll some people. maybe. perhaps. If my brain doesn't beat me with its honesty.
I just remembered I had someone call me from my bank and she asked if I had a moment to talk, I said I'd rather not because I'm at work and I'll be available after 5pm. She said she'd call back. She never did. This one *was some two weeks ago maybe. So much win
