I want to go too.
I would likely become a hermit there too xD
I've read and seen a lot of stuff about Japan.
I'd like to visit for several reasons.
I've also heard a lot of mythology and folklore for other countries and I'd like to visit those too.
I always wanted to travel places, but not being in my house scares me.
I'd have to take my house with me :U

Taking your house would be crazy expensive. Maybe we could downgrade you to a security blanket. Easier to travel with.
I wanna visit a bunch of places too but I'm thinking I might not be able to. My body is failing a lot more rapidly than I ever anticipated.
I should probably save for a wheelchair so I can get around.

i don't think i can afford travel. i have to pay for my degree. after that i'm planning to get a qualification as a hatha yoga instructor. and that's going to cost a packet, even though it'll be money well spent. sigh.
if you don't mind me asking, light, how old are you? i got health issues a lot earlier than i expected too. i know they're stress-related in my case, but they wouldn't have hit me if i'd been healthy enough to stave them off in the first place. i hope you feel better or at least i hope it slows down :(

Hatha yoga instructor? Are you going to do that as a job to pay for school?
I am indeed 28. I've got a fun genetic disorder called Ehler's Danlos syndrome. It's a connective tissue disorder so it literally effects all parts of my body. Generally in fun and unexpected ways. lol. I have incredibly fragile skin, my joints are super loose and cause me tons of pain, I have issues with the bathroom. I'm all sorts of fucked up.
Hallo everyone!

yep, to pay for school, and as a way to get supplementary income even after. it's no guarantee that i'll get a job soon after finishing school, so this is like a backup. there's like 300 families in my family's apartment housing estate and many of them, especially the stay-at-home moms, have attended yoga classes whenever someone has offered them before. so i know i won't have to look far for a customer base. i can use my home space for the classes. and it'll be mostly people who are familiar or who my family is acquainted with. i can just put up a few signs on the noticeboards near the elevator saying i offer classes, and rely on word of mouth. like everything is convenient and conducive.
that's horrible. i'm so sorry you have to be dealing with that. it sounds degenrative, like it gets worse over time, and among chronic diseases i swear those are the absolute worst. what options do you have with medical care? anything that helps at all?

I keep forgetting, what are you in school for?
Man, that is definitely a good customer base. Wow. Lots of people. lol.
It is degenerative. There's no cure. There's just maintenance. Trying to not do anything that makes it worse. Which is really difficult because so few people know about it and a LOT of treatments for the chronic pain parts are actually really bad for the EDS.
Healthcare professionals often don't listen to me because they've never heard of the disorder. So they're like, oh, you hurt because you're fat, it's all in your head. Blah blah blah. Nah, I hurt because my body is constantly clenched to hold all my joints in place. And because the joints dislocate and the skin tears at a drop of a freaking hat. I know that they being fat doesn't help, but I can't do normal exercises to lose weight so I'm kind of stuck.
