That is such a true point about pens... I use a lot of pens. You have inspired me, I should start to buy refills and not throw them away. Thanks for bringing that up.

I looked at one of those links and it was super complex. But I did get that currently the waste is only recyclable once. And then you still have a TON of toxic waste that takes years and years to be not toxic enough to throw away. So more research is obviously needed in order to make it a good choice in power.

I've never bought the refills either. I wonder if most of them are interchangeable.

Which link said that.

I admit the 2nd link, I didn't read all of it.. cause very long.

I feel it's just something that seriously needs to be considered. Not outright dismissed, which is what a lot of people do.

Ah well that said even if there's still waste going to the ground or wherever they put it, it's less waste than say over 50 years ago. or something like that.

Ah I follow a fb page, they shared the huffpost link. Which is a good read.

That's true. you did say that..

Yeah, those links sounded pretty much like what I remembered - it's an improvement of the situation, but not really a solution yet.

I keep waiting for that "Colony on Mars!" guy to start talking about sending 'rubbish runs' of spent fuel rods and other dangerous wastematter into the sun.

I feel like shipping stuff off to the sun would be good for getting rid of it, but a ridiculously enormous waste of gas.
