I personally feel that almost everyone could benefit from some therapy.

I've also never understood the concept that treating your mind for sickness is bad when almost everyone is ok with treating the body for sickness. So dumb.

I recently saw someone post something (I believe it was on instagram) along the lines of "We should have an annual checkup with a psychologist to make sure everything is alright, just like we do with the dentist or the gyneocologist!"
I think that would actually be a really good idea - lowering the hurdle to first go there. You wouldn't have to come to the conclusion that you really needed help now, you'd just go there regularly and if you had things to discuss that needed a follow-up or more extensive therapy, well, then you could plan that right then and there.

That is a good idea. And it would de-stigmatize it too.

Good luck getting people to do that though..

I don't think it's ever going to happen though, she's already about 40 yo, not a great age to have a change of heart. :(

The problem with annual meeting with a psychologist would be, there's always something to discuss or a room for improvement. It doesn't always require therapy but psychologists tend to make you think it does
