I have to get another job to make ends meet as the one I have a. pays under the table so to speak, which doesn't help when planning to rent or buy a house and b. doesn't pay enough to do so anyway which is bad as my parents are moving to a different state and I don't want to go with them.
The thought of having to sit through an interview gives me anxiety and I kind of wish my side business made enough money for me to tax that instead of getting a second job. Planning to work at amazon since the pay looks good.

I keep being told "Age is just a number! As long as you don't feel old, you're not!" but then you got people saying "Act your age!" "You're ___ and have NO experience? That's pathetic!"
An interview scares me. I have a habit of getting anxious and just saying really weird and bad things.
I do it with my doctors too and they look concerned, but I'm usually joking xD;

The "Age is just a number! As long as you don't feel old, you're not!" is not actually ingrained in the society, so it's pretty hard for someone to truly believe it. Usually it's just empty words, people still expect you to "act your age". One might not feel old, but when they have no relevant experience in some field it's going to be crazy hard to get into it. Young people are always at the advantage. No matter how young you feel, for the employer (and usually everyone else) your age isn't just a number, it's a characteristic you can't shake and which makes you either not suitable or completely irrelevant (depending on the context). It's sad but true.
