Huh, mystery boxes, eh?
Maybe I should do up a little mystery-box of small surprise things for my nieces.

The only problem is money :/
But I can do home made things!!
And I am planning on taking him to a beach (as I can finally drive! And we have always wanted to go~) So I am planning a picnic!! :D
Would anyone have any suggestions?
He likes tuna, and (because I dont like tuna) I dont know anything to put tuna in, I was thinking a sandwich, but what else do I do ?__? Is there anything else I could do???

I wish I had one of those cute picnic baskets~~
(Like the one red riding hood has!)

Ah. Lame. Is it a lot extra?

Mmhmm. I'm really wanting to get the Pastel Goth palette by Kat von D. And the highlighters that she has. They're so damned pretty.

Though I do need to get some makeup brushes. I don't really have any.

I've been to Sephora a few times. There are so many cool things there. And you can try out like everything. It's nice.

Home made mystery boxes sounds adorable. I bet kids would love it.

You could make tuna steak? Or even sushi. Though that's a little expensive.

Well, you can make tuna patties, and he could have those and you could have some other kind of thing that serves the same function.
Tuna patties:
1) chop up 1/2 onion & 1 stalk celery, sautee them
2) while they cook, finely chop parsley and crumble up some crackers
3) in a bowl, mix sauteed veggies, tuna, parsley, crumbled crackers, some salt and pepper, and enough eggs to make everything kind of clump together.
If you like it spicy, add cayenne and smoked paprika here, too.
4) mix until crackers are mushy and everything is a little more homogenous.
5) shape into patties and fry ~3 minutes on the first side, and another 1-2 minutes on the second. (until cooked through, pretty much. You can go longer if you like that partially-blackened flavor.

All done.

You can serve them hot and plain, you can make a sauce to go over them, you can use them as a sandwich patty...
you can also forget about shaping them into patties and frying them, and instead use it as stuffing for baked peppers.
Or you can form them into much smaller, round bite-sized balls and bake or fry them that way. Then you could use them with pita, or take Roma tomatoes and cut them in half (short-way, not length-wise) and core the tomatoes and put the cooked tuna balls inside. Or you can use the balls in a number of salads, or with pasta, or whatever.

Anyhow.

Option.

Thank you both for your suggestions :qh:

Wait ... would tuna spoil if it's left out? (Like in a sandwich, cause if what I am thinking of doing goes ahead then we may be out all day!

Unless our friend who shares his birthday on our anniversary decides to do something XD (it's so funny, our anniversary is spent with our friends for his party!)
Unless we do something the next day (valentines).
It's so interesting all the cards people make for valentines day.
Lately I have seen many innuendos on the cards (which is quite entertaining XD)

It's protein; that's always in the 'be careful with it' category.

I personally often make a tun salad and then leave it out for a few hours or pack it in a sandwich to take somewhere (non-cooled) and have never had problems, but if your BF has a sensitive gut then yeah, don't risk it, don't do things with tuna.

(Or get it canned, and bring the materials to make something with it right there at your picnic. Which is messy and inconvenient but could be done. Or there are people who make fish jerky which could be done with tuna, I guess? That's usually more expensive though)

Ahhh, okay!
Hehe, he has a strong tummy!! That's for sure!
I am trying to remember what he had last time we had sandwiches, and I think he also had mayo, but it being in a sandwich that would spoil~
Maybe I will do what you suggested, but at the beach it may be windy hmmmmm.

*just googled it and it's supposed to be a nice day, but cloudy* hmmm maybe park instead. But beaches are nicer... maybe if I can get money I can pay for a meal.

You could do something like just bring a can of tuna and a can-opener, a package of pocket bread, some shredded broccoli (or something similar) and a small container of Italian dressing (basic vinaigrette).
Then I don't know what you want instead of tuna (guess you could do cheese? Whatever you want really), but it'd not be hard to make your pocket-sandwiches at the beach, and if you do it with pocket bread there's less issues from being windy.
Don't forget something to drink!
