Because you mentioned that magpie-ishbird you saw, and Cyan didn't mention the Daurian Jackdaw, which somehow made me think about how long I didn't check the online marketplace for a corvid for sale, I wouldn't have come across the lot of a ringed magpie of 2010. For which I immediately gathered all my guts to call - which I always totally shit my pants for, but the last 2 times I found a magpie there I didn't have the guts to call and sent an e-mail, eventually getting a response that she'd already been sold. Both times.
So now I've got an appointment to visit him / her tomorrow. And probably bring him/her home.
Tomorrow night I'll probably have an adult magpie on my head.
