I haven't been on Gaia in over 10 years. Right around the time the chest/booty scandal got really big is when I left

So... I don't know what specific kind of scandal that was, but I think I've read too many romance novels lately because my mind went somewhere dirty

So to stimulate the economy or something the new (at the time) company decided "hey let's use Flynn, a female NPC, as the face for massive treasure giveaways!" The smaller ones were her chest(s), the larger ones her booty
It did the complete opposite cuz they didn't do a one and done, they kept sending them out. Again and again and again. And deleted the treasure cap on the marketplace, so instead of the 2.1 billion cap for the super rare, super old, both items, even cheap common items were being posted for way too high. Only one dev, Uncle Kenny, was trying to combat it, but everything the poor guy did was countered with another dump of the chest and booty
Users were livid, especially after a shot of a presentation about something that was rather shady came up and the image used for the Flynn dumps was shown on the present slide. The continual treasure dumps, along with that, had people refer to it as "repeatedly raping Flynn" and admin was silent. It was bad, so bad I was one of many who left

Shortly after tekton was also given a C&D over tektek, which was another outrage. He ended up advertising recolor dot me along with images of the letter he got and an explanation that yes the site would be shutting down in response. And admin was again silent. That site has since gone dead/bad, but it certainly had a unique concept for item colors. Hue and saturation sliders, and eventually a transparency one was added as well

i remember Flynn although i never paid much attention to this scandal thing. never even heard of it tbh lol.

I'm still able to fish and sell fish but it's really reallly dead lol. I was there when they sent Tek the C&D and that blew the WHOLE community up. I was also really upset over it because they tried to implement something sort of the same and failed.

Gaia is like a dramallama lol. XD;; I’m too lazy to keep up with news like that. I only really care about items and playing dress up.

Also I'm probably never going to use these hairs. But! I have them now! So if that ever changes, it's okay!

Looking ahead, those eyes look amazing. Those will definitely get used.
And I like the roseleaf hats.

The cheery chic ribbons are nice, too.
