Could it have a back layer that's empty? So that it does take off the back hair as well, but the layer that replaces has nothing on it.
Just trying to make suggestions to make it work. If you really can't see it as being feasible, that's fine with me.

Absolutely not! It would look like you would miss part of your head with just the front layer of hair!

Really? I thought you could just draw the hat full enough for that, since the hat is replacing both layers of the hair. Okay. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.

This! Would love to see some simple bracelet designs for the hand. As it is, most of them seem rather fancy, that's not always quite what you're looking for.

A mouth like the Cowboy Mouth without the wheat in it. :D Mouth 14 is the closest we have to it, but it's too cartoony.

I agree, you could make a TT of just the horse, white, black, brown, chestnut, Then Unicorn, Pegasuses, and alicorn! ... and hippocamp.
