yes indeed lol. but they're probably based off folk tales as well and some folk tales and fairytales can be pretty morbid and gruesome. like...the original versions, not the sparkly Disney versions lol.

now i'm curious as to how this blob looked like lol.

there was this version of cinderella.. i think it was a chinese version.. where the fairy god mother was a fish that granted wishes, so she kept it safe.. until her family found it and ate it... QAQ i forget the rest

i don't remember a fairytale like that lol. at least, not a chinese one? i remember there might've been an asian one with a fish that gave out treasure.....xD;;

the brother's grimm version of cinderella is a bit morbid though i think. like the stepsisters couldn't fit into the shoe so they cut off their heels and toes to fit into it. the birds who helped cinderella called out to the others, saying they're bleeding, they're bleeding, the shoe doesn't fit! later, the birds dug out their eyes.

the original little mermaid had the poor girl turning into seafoam and sleeping beauty? the king or prince who saves her doesn't kiss her at first glance. instead, he rapes her, has two kids with her, and all BEFORE she wakes up.

in snow white, the evil queen is later confronted with the married snow white and forced to dance on hot coals or something.

so YES, the original brothers grimm fairytales? YEAH some of them are a BIIIT morbid and just plain wrong. Disney just sparklefied them for us.

yea i can't find anything on this particular story at all.. and that's all i can remember about it. I was in elementary school and remember the teacher saying it was the chinese version of cinderella.. so I don't have much to go on.


speaking of the brothers grimm, there is a mobile game called 'SINoALICE' it has taken a lot of 'fairy tales' we grew up with like the brothers grimm and others and twisted them even more >w> the stories are interesting...

i wish i could do that. but nowadays, i actually have to wake up early on some days of the week in order to head over to my grandma's when my dad goes to work. of course, AC and wifi at her place is always good but waking up at 7am? NOPE.

i managed to propagate one of the leaves of my devil's ivy... and zeke.. he's been trying to drink the shrimp tank water! he pulled the ivy leaf out of the plant basket to try and get to the water easier, one of the roots dried up >:x

ass hole cats have a nice water fountain! Dx stop drinking shrimp/plant water!!!
