We don't have Sonic out here. I had to google it...
I only know about one store that sells floats here and it's the local chocolate bar. They only sell one kind, but it's a really nummy one. Freshly made chocolate milk (your choice what kind of chocolate they make it from, no powdery stuff, that's just not as good) with vanilla ice cream and then you get some chocolate sauce you can use to add to it if you want...
I love that place. They have so many good stuff...
I have made cola float before though and I've tried some other ones while travelling. I'm not that into floats with soda or beer apparently...

@Moi - I've never had one but it certainly looks interesting. Apparently vanilla ice cream goes good with it.
@Vineda - A local chocolate bar....sounds great.

I'm skeptical about malts because I bought one one time that wasn't made properly and it tastes disgustingly sour xD

Yup. A local chocolate bar.
I live in Belgium, so nearly every village has a chocolatier or a bakery that sells homemade chocolate (they're not like most bakeries in other countries I've noticed. Our bakeries are more like pattissiers/baker/chocolatier mixed shops that only sell fresh stuff that's made on-site)
So you can get strange combinations of our 'belgian' pride (beers, chocolate, french fries and good food so you get for example chocolate bars that offer a range of alcohol with chocolate or chocolate baked stuff you would usually not find anywhere and have to make yourself) even though other than for foodrelated things there's nearly no patriottism (except in a small part of the population that gets actively involved in politics)
so yeah. I'm spoiled on the chocolate front...

All we have is grocery store chocolate and a chocolate shop, but they're way expensive.

hmmm. Out here the cheapest grocery store chocolate is really cheap (for about 1 euro you can have about 250 grams or so), but still good. Strangely the most famous belgian chocolate (godiva) doesn't really sell well out here. It's considered to be one of the lesser tasting chocolate kinds (and the price doesn't help either. It keeps shocking me whenever I leave the country that that kind of chocolate is considered 'high grade')
The chocolate bar is a bit expensive, but still cheaper than going to a bar in the uk so all in all it must not be that expensive... I dunno. I just like going there from time to time to spoil myself a bit...
