I'm not picky about my pasta shape, although I really enjoy angel's hair. I love thin noodles. I should get my bf to add paprika next time. How much paprika though?

New hires for Christmas I assume Serra? Ah, that really sucks :(

I've never had mac and cheese ovo;;;;;; Although the orange american commercial cheese freaks me out.

Aha, I think you're talking about the mac'n'cheese from Kraft. If it's homemade or restaurant-made, it's less, uh, salty and more naturally cheesy.

I'd like to pick five for today, btw! :3

Make sure it's the sweet paprika not the spicy one. Paprika is still a spice after all.

But uh generally because it's in jar you have to shake over the pan, I just shake it a few times lol. Like I said I don't entirely measure.

And tbh it's to taste too. Also normally you'd add the milk at once but I do it in bits. Generally a lot too but that's how I like it. But it helps overall the sauce be smooth and not so lumpy and slightly less sticky. Still tastes good. As it is just taste as you make it..when it's thickened up mind.

I will say now, always just plain white flour. Mum has used rice flour or whatever it is. Unless you can't? then I guess...just a non-self raising though.

I'm not sure I've had angel's hair before.

I'm not a cheese fan except some cheeses

Noted Mika :3 I'll just see if anyone else is pulling a number today.

Chrizine is off cooldown now.

I didn't realise there was sweet paprika. Cumin is a spice but it isn't spicy, at least not to me. Haha. I wouldn't mind a spicy lasagna. We used plain flour for our white sauce too, rice flour sounds strange. Don't you use rice flour to make bao/chinese buns?

Angel's hair is just really thin spaghetti strands lol I actually love cheese but not so sure about cheese in my pasta except a grating of parmesan. I enjoy anti pasto platters frequently with my bf and it tastes best with some salty sour olives.

Just realised I may have gotten the spicy vs sweet mixed up with cinnamon. You can get spicy one of that.

Paprika isn't really spicy anyway.

Mum's on a health kick thing....trying some gluten free stuff. =/ -shrug- just use the plain flour.

Oh I just put a small amount of the cheese in the sauce at the end. Generally you turn the heat off then but I sort of leave the heat on low so it melts better/quicker. All while stirring. It needs continuous stirring.

Oh cinnamon. Well I wasn't even aware cinnamon was spicy. Yeh, I was disappointed with the spice level of paprika :'(

Gluten free is only good for people with celiac disease. I'm fairly certain is serves no advantage and possibly a disadvantage to your health when you're someone with that immune disorder.

Lasagna is too painfully long. Not only do I have to make several sauces but I have to wait for it to cook in the oven ;-; I don't have that level of patience when it comes to food. I'm always that person who starts nibbling at the meat sauce.

edit:
oh whoops forgot to mention number was 5 so I'll be sending Mika some stuff in a sec.

Yeah mum likes to put it on her porridge.. one time she accidentally bought the spicy lot.

Yeah it's a shame but it's good for this sauce :)

As far as I know from the science fb pages I follow, it serves no purpose to those who aren't celiac.

Hm when I make lasagna, I do the mince bit with the tomatoes and stuff in one pan. Then the white sauce I've been talking about on how to make, in one other pan. Then it just goes into a biggish dish layered and then either microwave or oven.

I have that patience to my pasta meals.

Besides the white sauce doesn't take long and you don't need to leave the mince for long besides to cook it. Though I guess if you want lots of flavour to be in it, like how I do my tomato based pastas, leaving it for a few hours simmering in the pan would make the lasagna pretty amazing I think.

But you cook the white sauce last. It's always just before you go to serve it all in the layers in the dish for the last bit of baking. So if I wanted to simmer the mince bit, I'd have to wait till I wanted to do that layering.

Mh, you guys make me want lasagna! I haven't made any in ages, since my bf doesn't like it, but my sister and me used to make it together when I was a kid and it was always fun :)

You were correct with the sweet and spicy variants for paprika though. We have and use both a lot.

I pick 3 today :)

I rolled 5, again. No dice.

I've never noticed. The paprika I buy just says "paprika" and doesn't distinguish between sweet or spicy. Is lasagna too oily for him? I like buying cheap, pre-packaged lasagna for $3 in the frozen aisle because it's super oily, cheesy and there are dry crispy bits in there. It's disgusting but a fun, gross treat.

You're right, normal people process gluten normally and their stomach lining doesn't become inflamed like people with celiac disease. Provided you don't have celiac disease, gluten free options don't do anything for you. It's just smart marketing to get you to pay more >_> Should probably tell your mum she's wasting her money.

Also lasagna involves too much cleaning up ;-; It's delicious and the outcome serves you dinner/lunch for days to come (we have a giant baking dish) but I just want to eat everything before it's assembled.
