You've only got two years on me :'D I've never had a lot of commons though. And I think I was pickier in the past.
I'm good at saving, but I like to live a little bit too. So I have a weekly budget which is set to lower than my earning budget, and the rest goes into savings, but when I have spare money in my spending budget (which is pretty much always) I can just spend it on stuff like games.

I've got quite a stash of commons, not that I really collected them as in 'I want all colours of this' but I used to make so many more avatars and I loved making them mostly with commons and only a few non-commons as I've never been a fan of using too much of the same set etc
I love going to the cinema which is pretty damn expensive :'c
And when I go out with my friends I usually have to travel by train which also isn't the cheapest. Aside from that I love cosplay and Transformers comics and figurines and going to conventions so yeah I actually have quite some 'hobby' expenses haha

I love going to the cinema too, we have a rewards card which gets us half price tickets on certain days so we only go when we can use that. still not as much as I would like to go but J's work schedule often means we're busy on those particular days, but we go when it's possible.
I spend a lot of money on getting my hair done. Sometimes on clothes and house stuff, but not too regularly, maybe like one or two big purchases a season. Other than that I have this habit of taking my hobbies and turning them into businesses >.> which is why I'm so busy all the time. Like for example, if I had your hobbies, I'd probably start a cosplay blog and monetise that, and start selling costumes and elements, and trade rare figurines to make a profit on them, and use my blog to get press tickets to conventions so I didn't have to pay, and.... not have any spare time anymore :D this is why I'm not allowed new hobbies hahaha

I don't have the spare time to turn my cosplaying into anything more than my fun hobby c':
I also don't think my skills are good enough to make a profit from, and there are already so so many cosplay blogs and instagrams that produce daily content to keep their fans and such satisfied and I don't have the time! I think you'd need to have a safety net too, to even begin that idea of trying to get a succesful blog up and running cause you're not going to get like 10k followers right off the bat etc. You always need to build up your rep and shop and such and in the meantime you need to pay your bills and eat etc eh :'P
My lolita is expensive, but I only buy secondhand or from the brands directly when they're holding a big sale.

I share my cosplay wips on insta, but really you need to build up a lot of followers before you can really start selling your own works on commission and its a lot of pressure. S'not for me, I share my own works for fun c':
I sell some of my lolita pieces once I've accumulated too many and find out I'm hardly wearing some, or even have some I've never worn since buying :x

Yeah, I had a full-time job for the first year and a half of starting up on my own. I only quit when it got to the point that I was so busy I had to turn down work. Of course, now I'm at that stage again because I'm running too many businesses at once :'D So these days I just raise my prices whenever I'm low on time, so half the people go work with someone else and half of them pay me more and I have more time to do even more XD
And yes, it's a lot of work XD With our blog, we were running it for maybe two years before we started to get a lot of stuff coming in. We had so much free food... I put it on the backburner because other projects were more important, but I definitely miss the free food.

It's always nicer when you can share it and work together, share the work c;
I think you also just have to want to do that kind of thing haha
When my family asks me about selling my work I always tell them that I really just don't think about that? I work for my own enjoyment, I like my full-time job too. So in the end I just don't see a reason to combine them.
I did a short sponsored clothing review thing when I was way more active on tumblr etc. No regrets with stopping that but obv haha I do miss getting free clothes sometimes :'D

Welll you say that, it's mostly me doing the work and then yelling at J to get him to do the one little bit that he's supposed to do XD He hasn't done anything for it since before Christmas I think.
Yeah, if your heart's not really in it, it's even harder to do. It has to be a passion and enjoyment first, otherwise most of the time you'll fail because you don't want to do it enough to get through the hard bits.
