It's just upsetting that like.. they were basically forcing him to choose one job. And he even called and asked 'if I quit the other one will I still have the hours I've been getting' and I fucking HEARD HER SAY YES. And now here we are not even 2 weeks later and his hours have dropped by almost 10 a week. ;____;

My bf said he talked to her about it and she said something like 'it's the begining of the quarter, so we save labor now so we can brutally murder it later' .... so I am hoping that will be the case. Apparently he has the most hours of everyone right now. which is... hard to believe since there's only 4 people working there. O.o

I just hope everything will be ok this month. I'm glad I am ahead on rent at least. That will give me a good chunk of leeway.

Only people who can claim unemployment count for the legal definition of "unemployed". Because I quit my job to follow my parents, as far as the government is concerned I don't count for official unemployment numbers. My mom got it because she quit to follow my dad when he got a job over here. Also, when your unemployment benefit runs out, the government stops counting you as unemployed, even if you haven't yet gotten a job. So that 8% is just 8% of people who can have a job but don't that are drawing unemployment, not 8% of people who can have a job but don't period.

I hope he gets those extra hours. He should have gotten that in writing. Never trust in-word agreements, you have to get it on paper otherwise they aren't actually bound in any way that's legally enforceable. (what a cynic I am).

Not really. "Do you get unemployment benefits? No? THEN YOU DO NOT EXIST". Which is how the government is getting away with saying unemployment is lower than it really is.

If worse comes to worse I can open commissions on DA again later this month. Which I imagine I will have to do. :p Yay for a backup plan tho. ^^;

Like they'll schedule him in super early, like 7 am, and have him work to 4 pm. Then they won't let him leave until like... 6 pm, then they bitch that he has over time. :|

And then they don't schedule ANYONE else in about half the store so HE has to take care of half of the store all alone. Then they get mad at him when he can't get everything done in 7 departments... most of which he's not even familiar with to begin with!

And then today. Mor calls me up, and he's all riled and upset. Normally he's just chipper as can be! But today he tells me how they're treating him. They wanted to yell at him for taking a -SICK DAY- when he was deathly ill. ._____.
I want him to quit that place so bad because its literally killing him with stress. He's not the same person he was in high school, or even two years ago, because he's their scape goat.

I hate when places do things like that. And I bet if anyone else were to just not show up without notice it'd be fine for them. That's how it was for Kyle at McD's... people would not show up without even calling and they'd still get hours ect. Then Kyle would call off like 6-7 hours ahead of time when he was sick and they'd get all upset and yell at him! D:< WHYYY

WalMart is doing not-good things for my grandfather too. I just want a job, I'd take WalMart's shit. But apparently I'm not hiring material or something Iunno. Everywhere is pulling that shit it seems like.

That's what Walmart is doing to him. Like he had a REALLY bad allergic reaction to the dust at Walmart. The dust makes him stop breathing. Guess who has to clean everything? Mor does. So if he doesn't he'll get coached and fired. But if he does he risks having a bad allergic reaction that could KILL him... Do they care? Not one little bit. No one else cleans there. NO ONE! Not even the people -PAID- to clean there... and I tried to get on as a janitor there when they opened and NOPE! Not even after I had a year, to almost two years, experience doing so. :|!

I'm just like... I wish there were more jobs here for him and me. I worry more about him, since he's never not had a job... And he's spent about 6 years at Walmart... >:

Same here. They called me in three times to interview me, but then never hired me. It makes me feel like I'm a worthless piece of shit that WALMART won't hire me, but then they'll hire some junkie? How is that right. D;
Idek. I'm just done. I stopped applying to places in town tbh... After the 20th application to the SAME place and NOT getting hired...what's the point?
