Yeah, I'm reaching the same point. It doesn't help that I'm competing against all the bored navy housewives, and there is a tendency to hire them over someone like me because it's supporting the navy. Which you know, yay, but whyyyy?

Fft, I've gotten four interviews since moving here. Two years of applying and four interviews, none of which resulted in anything. Yeah, I'm pretty sick of it too. (I am not counting that call center job interview or the job itself because I had to quit that. They'd possibly take me back, but I know I can't handle it.)

I wish I could have that reason for being turned down...I'd feel less like a piece of trash. .n.;;;

Yeah, that's what I thought about Panorama D;
But they've not taken me back yet u___u;

T_T I'm sorry you guys are having trouble finding work! </3 I know my bf and I were looking diligently for about 2-2 1/2 years before he got his job at McD's. And he only got it cause I did the whole application for him. ^^;
Then we looked for another almost 3 years before he just got this new job. It's pretty tough... ;_____;

I'm glad I'm not looking for a job. I can get by doing commissions, though I don't make a lot of money collectively on them. It's still helpful when we're a bit short. ^^;

Fft. McDonald's doesn't even want me, which is very frustrating. It's not what you know, it's who you know. never mind that I've already shown I can thrive in such an environment, or that I'm a fast worker nooo, all that matters is if I know anyone.

=\ We didn't know anyone at McD's when he got hired. But it was probably the 8th time we'd put in an application. And even then I think they only hired him cause he worked at subway before that.

But for where he is now we knew someone and we also knew they were hiring desperately.

What I never understand is that I see a lot of hardworking people not getting jobs, but then people that don't take it seriously get jobs left and right! WHYY!

THAT is the most frustrating part. So much rage.

That's how it is here too... If you KNOW people that 1, work there, 2, are related to people who work there, 3, related to the owners or 4, are friends of the family of anyone who works there or owns it, then...THEN you get hired.
It doesn't matter here that people fail drug tests either. Noooooo, its all based on who you know, and if you're an outsider or were friends with someone who was a family enemy? GUESS WHAT! not getting hired.
At all the fast food places here EVERYONE in drive through is stuck up and cops an attitude :|
And sadly in house is similar to that. I've seen waitresses sit there and babble to each other rather then do their fucking JOB.

It's disgusting seeing the world like this. =\

My bf and I always try to tip/compliment/ect people when we see they actually put work into their jobs. It's just sad that so many people don't care. :mccry:

I always try and be polite as well and compliment when they're truly doing great work... But we never really tip out here... It's just not a regular custom...

We only really tip at restaurants. We tip a bit under if they're obviously being rude or ignoring us. One time we went somewhere and there was like 3 other people at the restaurant... our waitress came and took our order after like 20 minutes and then we only saw her when the bill was due. She didn't bring out to food or refill the drinks... nothing.. we didn't even get a chance to have dessert! It was so terrible. :(
But if they do their job or better we tip generously. Anything else we just make a comment about how awesome the person is and thank them a lot. Sometimes we'll write good reviews about them to their employers if we remember. ^_^
