argh, Icy should have kept her nose out of it since it wasn't her site anymore! How come it seems like every time I turn around there's some kind of problem revolving around Icy? =.= Icy I've noticed doesn't seem to care about things people are sensitive about either, like when I was talking about my one friend who doesn't like horses because she was bitten by one as a kid. Icy was actually making fun of her in the chat feed. And of course I was telling my friend and she got made at me because no one is supposed to know what's said in the chat, but it wouldn't matter anyways because my friend was not planning on joining the site anyways. I think most of the issues with staff there might have been Icy, I mean if it was because Icy and Leef got into a spat that the sites gone now, that makes me think all the other issues might have been her too. :/

Hey everyone. I never knew of this hangout or I'd have posted before. :mcheh:

I must say, I saw the new Uni site and its just horrible in my opinion. Its unorganized and looks rather amateurish. I hate to be that harsh, but that's how I honestly felt.

Technically you did, I just didn't give you the link right away to give you a chance to settle back into KOFK :P

Yeah UF6 does need a lot of work if it's going to survive tbh, the social network aspects are what's going to kill it fastest, too many on UF go there for safety because of being otherwise stalked or just needing a hideaway from bad things, and putting those aspects on there with very little security is going to not go over well with those like that.

Yeah, I know a lot are already saying they'll leave. Acid's little temper tantrum doesn't help either. He did nothing but whine that people didn't like it and that he put so much work into it. blahblahblah. Acid designed the site to suit his needs and wants and never once considered the wants and needs of the community.

Yeah I think a lot have seen that, the fact he keeps going on about how he's so shocked that it got that strong of a negative reaction says that. I get wanting to be proud of what you've created, I get that more then some may think, I won't continue work on a story I've written if I'm not absolutely happy with it, and i typically won't go beyond a few sentences if it gets that way(I can tell that fast) but I learned a long time ago that being happy with your work is one important part, ensuring others enjoy that work too, is just as important, it doesn't matter how much you may personally enjoy what you've created, it's not really going to help you out if your doing it for a financial means of independence and it's hated by all.

Actually one of the needs of the community is to create a site where the community doesn't need to worry about it staying up, which was I guess the purpose of the social media aspect of it. But him launching an incomplete site with only the media aspect of it currently working was a VERY bad idea. He just should have waited until everything was finished, apologized for the delay, and then tried to get people on or had testers on during that time. He said something about people helping test it, but even after he got people to do that even they were still complaining about the site. So I'm guessing he thought those where not problems that needed to be addressed until the launch failure.

Yeah, as anyone who is successful can tell you they didn't get just because they tried hard. They also had support from viewers, fans, etc. Like on YouTube, Chuggaaconroy may be one of the most successful Let's Players but that wouldn't be the case if no one watched or supported him. Yes he has to enjoy the games he covers (as should be obvious) but he also has to consider what his viewers want to see.

Acid, however, just thinks about himself. What will make him the most money. I get his got a rather large debt, but he shouldn't saddle us with the responsibility of getting him out of it.

Yeah, makes me wonder why he even had testers if he wasn't going to listen to their complaints. You don't do that. He's not been suited to be a site manager for a while now. Not when he only thinks of profit in everything. I saw that getting a 'VIP' account costs $45. He's nuts to think that's worth it.

And then the name restriction thing, if he was going to do that he should just do handles which act kind of like mini accounts people can switch between. And if they wanted more than just the one have them pay something like $10, but over $20 for something like that? Even people from media sites would have an issue paying that much money out...

Agreed. I don't see Uni6 lasting long. Not unless he makes some big changes to it. Which I have my doubts he will since he seems to be stuck in his way about this. I'll check it out again when it releases again but I'm not holding any hopes for it being much better.

Same here, I'll probably join up just to talk to some people there and to keep my stuff, but I probably won't do much on there if its mostly social media.
