Happened to me too where I lived before.
It's especially annoying when you live in the middle of nowhere and has to drive to do anything.

I'm very lucky to live in a quiet street that is right off a main street. So there isn't much traffic, yet we get plowed really quick.

A couple winters ago we had a surprise snowstorm one night. Went to bed and everything was clear; the weather forecast didn't say anything about precipitation. Got up to get ready for work in the morning and there were 6+ inches of snow on the ground. I took one look, let out a big NOPE and went back to bed after calling in. Texans + snow = really bad driving times.
