Tops over dresses would basically have the same problem: A lot of combintations would look messed up (and I think Firn wants it to be impossible to combine items so that they look messed up) - that's what we have undershirts for, they go under stuff and are drawn in a way that they will never have issues because they don't stick out over the base outlines. Or at least that's how I understand it, please someone correct me if I tell anything that is wrong.
That's why the corsets idea works: They would be basically undershirts, just a new style that doesn't stick out on top so that they keep the look of the top you wear above around the shoulders.
I really think they'd be cool, because I sometimes miss the possibility to add color in the belly area. Using a combination of short top and corset could make for a lot of interesting new combinations!

and if there's an underbust corset they wouldn't peek out at the top of (for example) the majolica tops and the likes... So that could be a solution?

Basically, there are lots of items that don't match up and some that do. If it's that hard to manage the layering, that's fine I understand.

Eyes with cat's eye eyeliner? :o Like a more dramatic version of the Demeter eyes heh. (or other eyeliner styles)

I'd love to get some tufts of grass. And rocks, because they rock.

We probably will get such a thread at some point, but right now there are like a MILLION things I still want to make for rooms, so whatever people would suggest, chances are pretty high that I already plan to make it anyway. I just can't work that fast.

I'd like some more creepy backgrounds like the vampire scenery and Halloween backgrounds.
Like maybe an empty carnival, or a house with blood splatters on the floor, or a rundown shrine from Japan, or one with creepy dolls on a shelf.
I'd also like some dolls hanging down like the puppet strings we have. Some more doll-like items like maybe cracks on skin similar to the lynx spots we got and another skin like the porcelain doll skin, but in normal colors like beige, mocha, cream, and such. And holding a doll like how we have the Ms. Tipps items. And some big glassy doll-like eyes.
I'd also like a wider variety of scars - like burn scars and such. Also bruises would be cool. Also maybe some veins that can go under the eyes are all over the body.
And some more bouquets. Like ones with a mixture of lighter colors like tea rose, lilac, cream white, periwinkle, ecru, gray white, and such.
And some lace veils. I don't know if you can make those, though. The kind that go over the face. Or the kind that goes behind the head. Or maybe hats with a little strip of veil on them?
I would just like some more creepy items. Vin's art keeps coming to mind, but I don't have any of her art saved and I don't want to ask her to post here and bother her. But Vin's your friend, Firn, so you kinda get it?
Like maybe empty black sockets we can put over our eyes and some darkness around the eyes and maybe black coming out of the mouth and eyes. Or even maybe blood coming from the nose?
I know horror's not really your thing, though ;;

i'm not sure if there's a suggestion like this already (i only went back a few pages
), but i was thinking - in addition to avatar backgrounds, it might be fun to have 'effects' - like rain, snow, fog, sparkles, etc - located in a 'foreground' layer that would go atop the entire image.
it might make for too-large files; i'm not sure
but moving into fall makes me think of all the sorts of weather coming up.
