Yes of course it is but it's sometimes more there as an afterthough than anything else and we don't learn how and where they started.
I was mostly saying it's not exactly recognized as a legitimate speciality enough in my home country like would be, for example, Women's History.

Well that women's history class was a college class. I took like all the women and gender studies classes. Aced em all too. lol

I would like to take a class about world religions but there are the scary christians here so I really don't wanna deal with that. They'd be screeching during the class and I'd be annoyed and yell at them.

I had a class on human sexuality and a woman lost her shit when we explained what scissoring was to her. (it's something two women do when they have sex with each other, though it's mostly in lesbian porn aimed towards men)

Maybe take an online class which is based elsewhere?

I suppose. But with those kinds of classes I love the discussion during them. If I can't have a bunch of other students around me I might as well just read the books.

Don't most online courses have forum discussions, though? Doesn't that count?

Forums discussions should be tamer than actual classes - though studying by yourself sounds good too.
