I've 2, which is why we're having a hard time finding a new place. No one wants cats! If they do, they only allow 1. QAQ

The previous landlady here helped us find a loophole as 2 of the cats are companion pets (Zeke is mom's and Kuromi is mine) the loophole was labeling Hiro the house pet, not a companion pet.
I'm talking about wanting to move but can't because no one will allow us to have cats.

Well Kuromi helps with my anxiety and stuff and she sticks to me like glue most of the time. The thing is, cat's can't be trained like dogs there for apparently do not qualify as a companion pet. That and people abuse the system by taking unqualified pets places they aren't suppose to go.
A lot of places are starting to decline dogs and other animals as well. It should be illegal to deny people their pets. Regardless on if its a trained companion pet or not, animals are therapeutic and help those with mental issues. It also teaches children responsibility (if done right...). And if a person starts showing signs of animal hording, get them some help. =A=

I see. Well as long as the pets help. And as long as they’re being taken care of the right way. I’m bad with pets lol even though I really want one. I can get a bit negligent when it comes to my only turtle lol.

Pets do help, but it's getting harder and harder to find places that allow them. And mom and I want to move out of this apartment and away from this slumlord so much x-x

Really? That sucks. I don’t see why pets should make it harder to live in a new place. What will happen to people who use guide dogs and stuff? They’re not pets but they’re still essential animals who help.

People don't want pets living in the places they rent out. Destruction of Property, loud noises, plausible attacks, illnesses they can carry and pass on, ect.. Guide Dogs aren't considered pets so they don't fall under this issue.
Emotional Support Pets aren't specially trained animals. Any pet can become an emotional support pet as long as it helps the owners mental and emotional issues. But because they don't have specialized training, they are just pets. My cats are Emotional Support Pets, not trained guide cats so they don't get that free pass that guide dogs get.
